  1. sorry if it has been on before but it is the first time i have seen it... right click and save
  2. question... where in Swindon do you ride... and is there stuff for us beginners to have a play at One of my riding mates lives in swindon but comes over to wsm to ride as he can't find anything that is ok for us and out of the way a bit.
  3. If you mean Baker... i presume you do... he finished 2nd. He was a bit annoyed as it should have suited him with that mud making it very slippery. The lad that beat him was on a 125!! In that gallery is a couple of pictures with the full results. ... hopefully i will be there with cameras again in a couple of weeks. smile
  4. silly question.... what's it like when wet there? I was at the motorcycle trial there last weekend and there is no way i could get a cycle moving with all that claggy mud about!!
  5. ... and it's my Missus birthday today. Not a date i will forget in a hurry now!!

That site doesn't do the company any favours... very old style and doesn't load up well on all browsers. And the colour scheme is terrible. Get a more modern design going if i were them.
  7. Why not... it's how i and no doubt other do it!!
  8. wasn't any... i left as they handed out the trophies and was on the lane out on my own!! Anyone going to the cycle trial there a week on saturday.... any idea what the entry is like. Don't want to travel 140 miles and only get a picture of 2 riders!!
  9. Cycle trials there in 2 weeks time... reckon the drop off may be in a section. Cheers... was hard work with the camera as it was so dark under the trees and cloud cover and like a dick i forgot my larger flash for my Nikon D1 so took them all with the D40 and an sb400 flash.
  10. Brake booster and graphics on the way... if it ever stops raining i may even have to ride it soon!
  11. I was at Hook Woods with the camera last weekend... it was a british championship round. I know it is motorcycles but still trials !! Gallery Here on photo bucket
  12. cheers... i agree, got renewed respect for v's after years of using discs. Just a booster needed i think and the graphics made up by a mate. The rear hub is an old Hope so not a huge amount of clicks... once again if a good rear wheel built up on a solid rear hub came up i will grab it and go front free-wheel. not too bad seeing almost all of it was out of my spares bin in the garage!! Echo pure '06 frame, v adaptors, Kore stem, Azonic bars, odi lock-on grips, Hope front disc, Shmimano Deore rear, avid rear lever, Mavic 121 rear rim!!, Mavic x320 disc rim front, Hope rear hub, Felt front disc hub, Revell Fork, Onza cranks with Echo bashguard, Rohloff tensioner, Steel braided brake cable outer, wellgo pedals and IRC tyres.... now all i need is the rain to stop!! I am off to Hook Woods tomorrow to see the british motorcycle championship... sadly i will have cameras with me as they have some nice bits to play on there
  13. A couple of subtle changes done... Changed the stem to a slightly longer Kore and removed some stackers to make it more comfortable when i am on the back wheel... something i can actually do for a short while!! I tried my Middleburns but two things made me change back. I would need a longer bottom bracket as the 'burns hit the frame and also as they are the old RS HD middleburns they have a spider rather than the more common method of fitting and therefore i could get only a standard old style rock ring on there and a 22 or perhaps 20 sprocket. The rockring looked huge compared to the Echo mod style one on there now and just looked wrong. I have added some thick motorcycle black graphics to the underside of the frame to help with scuffs when i cock up getting onto something! And have designed a little simple r2w logo for the frame where the echo one would have gone... in black and white with a small hint of red. Keep the understated look going. Yes i know the rims are very small compared to your bikes but i am crap and old and won't be doing big drops and hits so they will do until i have spare cash for at least a rear one to be built up. The Deore v with avid lever on the back is ok but there is a little flex and i am on the lookout for a nice cnc'd booster... i see the echo ones are 20 quid in the shops so may do that unless anyone has a better deal. Maggie may be fitted at a later date when i have the cash...
  14. ... at least it shows what i could do if i had a bit of ability. Allows me to dream!
  15. Very cool... Unless it is the new Google browser i am trying out i don't seem to have much luck with youtube today. Really slow. this one works as well ... Video
  16. tried to run that and it said no longer available... bugger!! I think when it was sold to me the skill bit must have been retained by a previous owner!! ... feels so weird after riding that short Giant frame for a bit.
  17. Have you fitted the little curved washer type things that allow the pads to be moved to almost any angle?
  18. A year or two ago myself and a few mates were motorcycle trials riding out in the wilds of Wales.... Barry went off up a rocky river bed and disappeared around the bend. 3 minutes later he appeared with his hand held up in the air like he was asking for permission to go for a piss!! Once he got closer we saw that his glove and riding shirt sleeve were completely soaked in blood!! He had gone up a step out of site and lost control of the bike and stepped off in mid air... he put his hands out to stop his fall but the bike had slide underneath him his finger went straight into one of the cut out holes of the rear sprocket and was completely sheared off as the wheel turned. We went and found his finger, which was still inside the finger of his glove, put it in my pocket and stuck him on the back of my beta and travelled 5 miles across the mountains to get to the car. Then another 20 miles to find a hospital!!! He made it but the finger didn't!!! One of our mates had to stay behind on the mountain to look after Barry's bike.... and sitting there for 2 hours with a bike covered in blood and bits of flesh had so much of an effect on him he sold his bike and gave up trials for a year!!!
  19. ...errm. is it me or are the cranks not level. maybe it's the curve of the arms or the angle of the photo
  20. yours or the old man,s gasser in the background? Thinking of having the Pure frame i have anodised black...
  21. Forks are Revell... Thought you may want to see this... perhaps not!! Outside my garage with my 2 bikes in 2000 ... and outside my garage today The motos are 1995 Beta Techno and a 2008 Beta 270 rev3 and the cycles are Sunn team issue frame and of course the '06 Pure. Think you will see that the rear wheel assembly is the same one !!! your kidding... a good riders frame, going to make it even worse that it is ridden my a complete monkey like me now!! Any images or vids of him riding it... so i can see what it will actually do!!
  22. Thanks to all of you that helped with filling in my knowledge of the modern geometry and what type of frame i should look for ... and thanks to forum Member Balfa i now have an Echo Pure frame. As money is a bit tight this month i have changed over my stuff from the old Giant onto it but will gradually add things i want. Wider rear rim being the first i think. I may go back to my middleburns rather than the Onza mod cranks that are fitted. But here it is as a quick build up so i can at least practice falling off it!!! for those interested the geo is ... 34E-24-34. Height: 5'6" ½" and yes it is Kelly Brook
  23. Not heard of these before... they ok? Rockman site
  24. trying to get a frame only... then i can either put my Hope hub but with a wider rear rim in or go for a new wheel when money allows... sadly every thing has gone up, gas, electricity, car tax etc etc... and it all requires payment about now so will have to do it gradually.
  25. right... stupid question to ask you guys with your nice posh frames, what was/is the Phase frame like? Ok as a play bike for someone like me? If i can get one very cheap would it be ok for the time being. The geometry appears to be 1070mm, 5mm rise and head angle is 72.5. ... slightly more modern than my old Giant frame, and remember i am not into street tricks and big gaps etc Just a bit of playing and making up some sections.
