Goodridge if you go for goodridge, that's what you need. you can get a unex bridge hose seperately (that's what i've done) the goodridge hoses are good, the lever return is slower than brakes with standard plastic hosing, but it's not really a problem. They are a bit of a bitch to fit, so make sure you have some decent cable cutters because if the braided steel gets frayed and nasty, the fittings are nearly impossible to screw on

what hub is it? :) if it's a shimano or something, remove the lockring, cones and bearings from the non drive side (which i guess you have done) then slide the rest of the axle out (no need to remove the cones from the other side) and i think the freehub body just comes off. the freehub cannot be serviced (on a shimano hub)but Chain reaction do replacement freehub bodies for shimano hubs Here hope this is of some use to you! :S Edit: oops i'm blind. I think the Onza hub is similar to a deore, but i dunno :) Supercycles don't have spares for the onza hubs listed on the site, so it might be best to ask them about it

erm....yeah :huh: ignore the water bit, magura didn't design their brakes to run on water, so don't use water (N) especially if you ever want to use magura fluid again, becasue mineral oil doen't absorb water (like Dot) so it emulsifies inside the brake and makes a nice white/grey gungy mess which wrecks the hosing and the slave cylinders because it's a right bitch to flush out!

YES!! it will kill the seals! they are not designed to be used with any form of Dot, same as Dot seals will die if you use mineral oil. All magura brakes must be bled with mineral oil (if you are short of cash, go to halfords and get a big bottle of citroen suspension fluid, which is chemically identical to the old green magura oil (i think) but i find royal blood still works better :huh: Edit: bugger, beat me to it! (N) the reason you can't use Dot is simply becuse magura seals are not made of the same rubber that is used in cars, motorbikes etc (and Hope/Hayes brakes)

no, aluminium becomes more brittle during it's life, and once a frame has been sprayed or lacquered the oxidation reaction between the aluminium and the air is stopped.

as far as i know, Andy P is the only person in trials history who has made black pads work with a smooth rim! :) but seriously, what's with all this "cleaning you rim with jif", "using a wire brush attachment", "scraping it with a file" crap? just get a fecking grinder! they cost about £15 and i've never heard of someone destroying their rim due to running a grind! :blink: if you don't want a really grabby rear brake, just give it a light grind :)
