no, i've had 3 rides with it, wet and dry. it is fully bedded in (takes 30-40 stops to fully bed in, which i did outside my house) and aprt from the rotor snapping one of the hope disc bolts, it works extremely well.

well.....onza ronnie rims piss all over viz, try-all, monty and the old echo rims

i think it does affect the seals in the slave cylinders, as ive seen a couple blow up with using water + anti freeze. I run magura fluid in my goodridge hosing, and it's fine ;) lever doesn't really return slow, the brake doesn't feel too heavy (it feels better now that i have stopped using the RB lever) so i dont know why others have problems with it. Aparantly, the magura braided hosing feels nicer (but i cant see how the internal bore can be any wider, since the only real difference between magura hosing and the goodridge/hope stuff is it doesn't have the pvc coating over the braided steel) ;)

I reccomend the Hayes HFX-9 Mk dh ;) loads of power as well as modulation, not too heavy for a dh brake, nice big rotor and it looks rather nice ;)" plus the Hayes is £30 cheaper than the mono trial (from crc)

just thought i'd let people know what went on with the Hop idol semi-final (for those who didn't go to the bikeshow today) 6 riders started, with Andy P, Fatmike, Nick Manning and John Shrewsbury going through to tomorrows final. sadly Tom Chilvers and Martin Lloyd were knocked out. The riding from everyone was very impressive, but Fatmike wins trick of the day :D becasue during practice, he bailed on a gap from the lorry down to the stack of railway sleepers, and snapped the disc mount clean off his home-made forks!! (Y) so it was a quick change for a pair of echo urbans before the semi-final started! the first three riders to go were Tom chilvers, Martin Lloyd and John Shrewsbury, who had 15 minutes to impress the judges, followed by Fatmike, Andy P and Nick Manning. John did some very nice X-ups and tabletops using the quarter-pipe in front of the lorry, and Nick Manning dropped from the highest concrete pipe down to the floor, while Andy gapped from the pipe, down to the two concrete polo type things. Tomorrows final is going to be nail biting :) but im not going to be there! but for those of you who are, you will be on the edge of your seats!

lol! :lol: o well, easy mistake to make i suppose! when i bought mine 2 years ago, supercycles told me about the bearing first. now its just leaking from other places! :-

it's a bearing which sort of acts like a seal. it has to be used, otherwise fluid will leak out from behind the bleed bolt, which is pretty much what you have described (Y)

im 17 (in 4 hours and 30 mins! (Y) ) and my gf is 16.....so we dont really have an age gap problem! but most people i know have gf's who are younger than them, and they don't have any problems Edit: oops, 3 hours and 30 mins :">
