  1. I got bored one day ages ago and made a bit of a rig out of pallets and 6x4. Then I covered it all in ply and painted it with exterior paint to stop it rotting. Then whacked a few staircase trims here and there to stop it falling apart. You can see it in this video a bit http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=agRKfjpuw9E
  2. It all depends on whether you need a free hub or a fixed hub. Free hubs are a lot more pricey. It's best if you are buying a free hub that you go for something quite expensive just so you are safe (safer) in the knownlegde that it wont skip or blow up on you. For a fixed rear wheel build I would buy the monty or: onza t-master hub = £30 onza ronnie rim = £30 mutiny spokes = £10 tarty build = £10 total = £80 For a rear free hub wheel on a budget I would go for: a deng freehub form tarty whilst they're half price. = £57.50 onza ronnie rim = £30 mutiny spokes = £10 tarty build = £10 total = £107.50 But I wouldn't trust a deng hub, I would save my pennies and go for a profile.
  3. Imagine the noise that thing would kick off flat out down an icecap with a sharp grind and some plaz's.
  4. Would you trust your front maggie at 122mph?
  5. From May-ish time. Ignore the rubbish at the end. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=agRKfjpuw9E
  6. check out my for sale thread
  7. I used to run them and had the same fear! But I bought some gu's from tarty, I have a spare set if you want to buy 'em... pretty much mint.
  8. You're going to need new spokes mate, unless you get hold of another american classic that is. The spokes will most likely be a different length to any other hub and even if they are the perfect length, the chances are they've stretched to that length anyway. It's quite easy buying a front disk hub nowadays. You don't tend to get too much stress going through them (unlike rear hubs). I would just go for something cheap, a deng hub will be fine.
  9. I'd always considered the ultimate student meal to be that of a dogs? Edit: Is fatpants banned from this thread as well?
  10. It doesn't somehow, go for it. This thread is my haven, allthough it's making my stomach churn at some of the shit you lot eat
  11. Depends on how dedicated you are to creating an authentic replica on toast... Heat up a frying pan for 5 minutes, add 200 grams of sugar and repetitively stir until caramelized.
  12. Nutty peanut butter (none of that smooth creamy bollocks) + Nutella + Toast = Snickers on toast.
  13. I second that, nearly killed me did that beast.
  14. Stock-wise I would always go for a control 06... absolutely love it. Or if I felt a touch more streety I would fo for an 04 pure (Rowan's in particular). Favourite 24" is by far the inspired. It's a right laugh to play about on! And for mod I wouldn't go back to a long mod ever. My a3 is so easy to ride, really springy... Can still gap a decent length as well as being piss easy to sidehop / front wheel moves. I recommend it to anyone!
  15. I love the look of it. I don't understand all of the negative comments on this forum now-a-days. I think it's good to see people trying out new stuff.
  16. I want it I want it I want it!!! Swap for my profile wheel.
  17. I would get a rear bb7 for now.
