  1. Just want some comments on what you think of it so far really. I only started putting it together a couple of hours ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOzrg-NV3yY Cheers everyone
  2. Its alot cheaper and its kind of second-hand new haha.
  3. I only started to do trials for a laugh and to help with motorbike trials... But now my whole life revolves around it really, and I hardly go on my motorbikes at all. I much prefer my cycle. I actually think stacks are great in trials, I enjoy a good shin bashing now and then, especially if I get them on camera. But when you tear two ligaments and two muscles like I did that sucks (
  4. Seriously, go second-hand, that t-rex looks perfect for you mate. There is no need to spend a grand on your first bike.
  5. Just leave it and it will be closed. It wont take long.
  6. Sorry everyone, my bad, its Sunday 13th of May.
  7. I'm after a new frame soon and that looks really nice. Any ideas on prices, frame only?
  8. Excellent mate. I think some of the Worthing lot are coming (about 10 of them I believe). I'll ask some friends if they want to come but getting there will be a problem for them. They live in Haywards Heath in East/West Sussex, anyone offering a lift to a couple of riders (maybe 3)?
  9. Sorted out anywhere to camp yet Mat? We might have to camp slightly out of town but hey-ho.
  10. Cheers dude, appreciated. Edit: No... You have put it in the wrong thread, the other DJ thread please.
  11. Right, just had a browse through the original topic in rides/locations ( http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=91032 ) and remembered that I can't post in there. So, if you are planning, or wanting to go to the DJ ride and you are a new member like myself then please feel free to post in here. I'm going with my mate Mat (Scopse) on Saturday and looking to camp somewhere saturday night so we can get to the ride bright and early on Sunday. Anyone know of somewhere to camp? If a full member reads this could you please link it to the post in rides/locations x Cheers Jack
  12. Wise choice but I would buy one second-hand. Then if you decide you want a better bike either buy new parts or sell it.
  13. Instead of starting a new thread I thought I would put it in this one, can I bleed my hope brake with water, in the bath? Edit: I need to know soon as possible so I can get out riding.
  14. Most ashton riders are really smooth and they seem to flow but if you look at zoo riders, they always go big, massive drop gaps ect... So it depends what style of riding suits you best. Unfortunately I don't know when its out though.
  15. Just give them a ring. I'm sure they will be happy to help.
  16. I know this also adds to your budget but I would really get some 2007 echo rims (drilled), they look and ride amazing, also you should get a pro2 trials rear hub and some echo forks. I know this will cost even more but it will make such a difference.
  17. For about eight months there was a magazine called 'Trialsworld'. Unfortunately due to the lack of interest the company went bust in December 2006. I have every issue at home as I subscribed to a years worth of issues. I only received eight of the twelve I subscribed to so I received a free pair of 661 race gloves. 'Trialsworld' still only had about ten pages on cycle trials but was great for motorbike trials. The quality of the magazine was outstanding and that may also of led to them going bust: It had really thick glossy paper and was really colorful. Anyway, I agree that a magazine true to trials should be produced on a monthly basis but I doubt it will, mainly because not many issues will be sold and the company's profits will be tiny. They would be better off producing another mountain biking magazine so they can make more money.
  18. See Alley, you have been invited to a ride so get over to it and build up a good reputation amongst the riders.
  19. Its not hard at all and you don't really need alot of equipment, no need for a bleed kit. Just a 3mm allen key... a 5mm allen key... some anti-freeze or coolant and your away. I'll guide you through it step by step although if you search you will find out how. Step 1: Remove the brake from the bike (easy). Step 2: Undo the bolts, use the 3mm allen key to undo the bolt on the lever (the one next to the hose) and use the 5mm allen key to undo the bolt on the calliper (the only bolt on there). When both bolts are removed hold over bath and repetively squeeze the lever untill most of the oil or water is in the bath. Step 3: Fill the bath with water (preferably cold) and add around half a litre of coolant or anti-freeze. Step 4: Place the brake under the water and make sure all of the brake is level and completely covered in water (you don't want any air getting in there). Step 5: repetitively squeeze the lever, I would recommend around 200 times for a rear brake and 150 for a front brake, just keep squeezing it for ages. Step 6: When your happy you have squeezed it enough, place the bolts back in and make sure they are super tight (do this whilst the brake is still under water). Step 7: Clean the brake and put it back on the bike, it should be good as new. Step 8: Clean the bath and then ride!
  20. Basically, the more posts Alley Rat gets to his comment/topic the more attention he gets, he wants the attention so he can have a go at people. I now know he is going to reply to this with some kind of witty comment. If we ignore him he might just get bored so.............. What is a decent weight for a mod???
  21. You have to expect that kind of comment from Alley Rat. I haven't weighed my t-pro either but with the try-all spec on it, it is even lighter than my echo team was (see sig)
