  1. I'm currently having problems with my hope mono mini disk brake: It has a goodridge hose, a new bore cap, a new top cap, also has fresh pads and a new bleed. It has cost me over £200 and it just wont hold. I've tried all sorts and now I’m giving up and going back to a magura. I know its not a trials specific brake but I thought a mono mini would hack it, obviously not.
  2. It takes a man to argue but it takes even more of a man to admit defeat...
  3. Why are you being like this to him? You may have a rough relationship but there is no need to bring it into a topic about his forks.
  4. Well I just want to help people I suppose, but I have just read your comment on another 'bike pic' post and I agree, I have been a bit of a tit. Sorry everyone.
  5. Well basically it prevents frame and fork flex. Thus boosting your brake power.
  6. I use a giro e2 (orange), Really comfy, bit pricey but worth it! I got mine from www.chainreactioncycles.com for £59.99 reduced from £119.99
  7. QUOTE(deanie-b @ Apr 7 2007, 12:51 PM) ←you would be validated alot quicker if you thought before you type. I do and in my opinion that is clearly advertising his booster which isn't allowed.
  8. Sorry to reply again man but how is Alley rat not banned, I mean he uses bad language, he sl*gs off the forum, he has a grudge against anyone that comes within arms reach??? Or do you need more than that to ban him?
  9. I agree, but quick spiders gone now. We need a mod to close it because its getting pointless. Alley, you're wrong in your opinions and there seems to be nothing going on in your head... (the forum disagrees with the majority of your views) Please take our comments on board.
  10. Please can a mod end this ridiculous topic for good.
  11. Haha thats rich coming from you! You really haven't taken my post on board have you.
  12. I see what your saying dude but you have to admit, some of the items that you recommend aren't all that... Do I really need to quote you on that one? Now to be fair you certainly know what works for xc riding and a few other disciplines but to state the fact that you know what works and what doesn't for trials is a bit brassy. I personally am now being more friendly to you because I want you to enjoy trials and enjoy this forum. Also do you really think all these deng and other trials parts are bad... Because most pro's use them. With street trials being a pure showing off discipline; good looking, strong and light parts are the champagne of the trials world. I now know that writing this post will only result in you writing one back in anger, take it in and maybe think about what people have said before writing a post back. Cheers Jack
  13. Fair enough fella. I'm not going to argue with you anymore but to be fair, if you write a post about not liking trials forum its never going to end on a high note. There are alot of good friendly members on here man so look around for them.
  14. I said that man, because in the topic you wrote that you "don't ride a trials bike but..." and so on. I'd much rather be mates with you dude, lets not argue, and also could other people leave alley to chill a bit. I know you're a decent guy.
  15. QUOTE(deanie-b @ Apr 6 2007, 10:27 PM) ←He said to PM him. He's not selling through a thread, so there shouldnt be a problem. Get yourself validated before you feel it right to pick up on others, you must be doing something wrong. He is advertising though. And why do you slate every post I make?
  16. No selling in NMC mate, you know that! I run an rb booster but to be honest theres not a noticable difference between most boosters, thats why they are so similarly priced.
  17. Sorry for posting this at such short notice but I hadn't really thought about it untill now. Brighton ride tommorrow all day, so far around 15 riders at a guess and we are all meeting outside the front of Brighton station at 11:00. Heres a link to the original topic over in "rides/locations" http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=93729 . See you there, its going to be lovely weather, I will check this topic before I leave in the morning cheers Jack 07756146891
  18. QUOTE(deanie-b @ Apr 6 2007, 09:58 PM) ←And that was a weeny bit over the top. We've said our part, lets let him sulk, and then leave. I agree but I've had enough of him really.
  19. Ok but its defying newton's law haha, I'm sure he just got better through practice but if you say so...
  20. Yes get off here! you're always so negative. Also, you think you know so much about trials but you don't know jack! Telling people to buy external headsets for an internal frame, and to buy raceface cranks over middleburns, YOU DONT EVEN RIDE TRIALS FOOL!
  21. And... There is no way, not even if you went from that to a chris king that you would gap 2 foot further so don't talk bullsh*t!
  22. There is no way that a new freewheel can add that much distance to your gap, unless the freewheel you had before was blown in half! You have obviously just got better at gapping through practice!
  23. Its ok dude, thanks for taking the comment well. But to answer your post.... I would maybe get a new front wheel sorted, maybe a deng hub on an 07 echo rim? Up to you really. Also an avid bb7 up front. I would personally change the bars and stem to zoo bars and a try-all stem but thats just a preference of mine dude.
  24. Its ok I guess. I don't want to sound like a tit but please post bike pics in the bike pics thread, it doesn't matter to me that much but lets keep the mods happy.
  25. In that case I appologise Jon, I got the wrong end of the stick but I still feel the same about the other stuff I said, cheers Jack
