  1. Tried the latest driver on the Ralink site that supports the RT306X wildcard, no luck. Will try that older one though, anythings worth a try... Cheers man.
  2. Still struggling to get my computer to accept a f**king wireless card. Went and bought a new one. (Maplins, for shame. Only shop I could find in the centre of Sheffield). Can't find working drivers anywhere. Even resorted to emailing the chipset company... If anyone has used a Ralink RT3060F Wireless N PCI card with Windows 7, this would be good news. If this goes on much longer I'll take it back to the shop and order a decent make from OCUK.
  3. Same, living out is so good. My plan is to just enjoy freshers as much as I can, then budget for the rest of the year and get stuck in. Being a second year I actually need to work hard this year.... Every night 6 of us all go to one of our flats and eat together, which is just about the best way of getting to know people I've ever known. Something about eating with others just brings you closer.

    Facebook Places

Personally I don't care if people know where I am, but I'm not going to set this up because I don't want to look like a twat. Facebook has it's uses (the way my new phone syncs with my facebook contacts for phone numbers and emails for example), but telling it where you are all the time is too far. I'd like to see groups on facebook so that I can allow certain friends to have my phone number and email address on it, and then this places thing would make sense to me so my uni mates can see where I am. Actually, can this be done? It seems logical but I don't really know my way round facebook any more, it keeps changing.
  5. I'd wipe it, start fresh and reinstall W7 again. Have the driver ready on a flash drive and install it first, before anything else. If this doesn't sort it then I've got nothing more to suggest!
  6. Tried that, it's for the wrong version! Mine is the V7, so uses a different chipset. I found the correct driver for Vista 64bit, but it didn't work. More searching required. I'll get on sevenforums later and ask there. Time to continue packing.
  7. Help needed asap! I move into halls today, the internet is all wireless, I have a Belkin F5D7000 wireless card. I've stuck it in my desktop, downloaded the lastest driver but it won't go. I then followed this video: With no luck, any advice?
  8. Aye I'd just wack the 8500GT in for now. I'm in Phoenix Court, guess you're at collegiate crescent campus then? I'm at city centre.
  9. I would recommend not buying a graphics card ATM, since that post some of the prices have changed £40, even I can't keep up. The ATI 6*** series is on the way so the prices are all over the place. You moved in yet Dan? I'm taking my big PC now, built a basic shitter up for leaving at home for when I come back for the weekend and that.

    Halo Reach

I can't strongly disagree enough. £100,000 finals doesn't mean it's the greatest game ever, it means that it has £100,000 finals. People always herald the first halo as this classic, amazing game, and while I think it was good and fun, you can't aim down the sights. What the f**k is that about? The assault rifle was also completely useless, the pistol did more damage.

    Halo Reach

Is this coming out on PC? Probably won't bother with it though.
  12. I've never ridden with shin guards, way too uncomfortable and sweaty IMO. If your feet are slipping off the pedals all the time, it's because your shoes can't find enough grip on the pedals, so I'd get grippier pedals over shin guards.
  13. No, you need to aggrevate her into doing something nasty/drastic and post about it. A nice murder would be cool, or these pics you keep talking about....

    Salford

As with everywhere, there are rougher parts and nicer parts. That said, I've not seen anywhere in Salford I want to go again. Leeds however I like, but Sheffield is my favourite city so far.
  15. Why the new server? I thought you moved it only a few months ago?

    Deng?

    Don't you two live together?
  17. There are apps for Vimeo and Youtube, and not much else uses flash these days really. However, I don't think it's embedded into the webpage, so it's a workaround, but not a very good one...

    Deng?

My only bike left has no deng parts at all. I feel proud. EDIT: Shit, echo forks.
  19. That's the whole point of it. It's designed solely for surfing the web, social networking and of course, the apps. It does these things very, very well. Better than any other hand held device in fact I'd say.
  20. I suggest you ignore everything that everyone will post in this thread, and look for real reviews. 90% of the people I've spoken to them about hate them, but have never even tried one....
  21. Blown a hole in the top of the piston by the looks of it. There is a motorbike thread already Matt.
  22. Haha, "HALT PEST! You're doing at least 36mph!". Apparantly the guy "came out of no-where". That'll be the other direction that mate, if you had pointed your face over into that general area, you would have seen him...
  23. Apart from the highest insurance risk being women over 70s in cars, and blokes aged 35-45 on motorbikes? In other news, my mate just pronged his car, pulling out of a junction turning right, and drove into the side of someone because the guy was speeding, so he didn't see him.... If he'd checked left again he probably would have seen him. Age, experience or lack of blind common sense?
  24. Yeh, I meant including all that kinda thing. I meant how fast I think I can go, not going round blind left hand bends faster than I can stop if there's the back of a truck in the road.
