  1. All that proves is if you drive like a f**king moron, you can crash anything?
  2. I completely disagree, my Mum is a perfectly safe driver, but fails to spot stuff a lot of the time and can't read people at all well. (People who you can tell will pull out on you at a roundabout and that). Experience does count, but after a few years of driving/riding on the road, for a lot less IMO. Young drivers in my experience tend to try harder, this doesn't make them worse drivers, it means they're more likely to crash. When travelling at normal speeds they might be perfectly safe. Personally I haven't had any near misses on my bike that were my fault, because i only push how fast I can go at certain times, like when the weather is perfect, i'm on my own, and on a road that's deserted and I know really well. Age and experience don't make up for a lack of common sense.
  3. I had those symptoms but it was down to the software for my keyboard. They've released 2 new versions since, installed them both and the symptoms return. I'm happy to make do without them to be honest...

    Shoes.....

I had 3 pairs of DCs from TK Maxx, lasted about 6 months each but I used them for college for about 3-4 months first until they got shitty, then rode in them. I then got a pair of Globes, wore them at college for a year and used them for riding since then, so about a year out of them. (Of almost not riding at all). Best wear life was the Globes though.
  5. Go to start, search for device manager. Check there is only 1 sound driver installed, if there are any others installed, try disabling them one by one and find the one that works, then update that one with the latest driver for that board/sound card. I had trouble with the ATI graphics card drivers with their built in HDMI sound driver causing crashes, I never install it now.
  6. Tarty doesn't make R8 money anyway, markup on trials parts is shite over here, dunno what it's like in other countries.
  7. I've got Golding DR50s, they're good to my ears and get OK reviews.
  8. I dreamt about an orgy between me, Simps and a bear named Gerald.
  9. Maybe he was hoping to start sending out free treats with every purchase like Heatsink? Free 20 bag when you spend over £200?
  10. I've been building computers for 8 years, W7 is by far my favourite OS. It's better than XP in almost every way from what I've seen. Vista however, I hate. In response to your problem though, it should always boot from the CD, but it could be that the CD checks the hard drive first to see what OS it has installed, so that it can offer you the Upgrade option if it can. I'd try and boot Ubuntu from a live CD personally, and if that works then format the HDD with it.
  11. Compare like with like, a 1.4kg Koxx Orange Sky 26" frame. I doubt you will ever find a frame that is stronger at that weight, or as well designed, well built or pretty.
  12. Gotta list your skillz Ad. What I didn't say is I hardly know any JS, no Ajax, no ASP.net, and no AS. My I forgot to add MySQL.
  13. Sounds like a program being dogdey to me, but you'll have to run all the normal tests anyway. Check for constantly running processes, anything that can be uninstalled, get rid one by one and see if the issues dissapears. If this doesn't solve it, try reinstalling Windows again.
  14. How long are we talking? Depending on the hours per week I could be up for this? XHTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery and Photoshop.
  15. Or just get a cheap netbook as well, then you can have a proper desktop at home, AND watch porn on the bus.
  16. Still a glorified dual core... I wants a 930 setup, but there's no point. My 965BE is fast enough for me and will be quicker still if I can be bothered to get an SSD (or two).
  17. i3s are a little on the gay side to be honest though...? I'm building up a new system to take to uni with me, just don't fancy taking my current desktop. It's cost me a fortune and a lot of time has gone into building it, don't really fancy it getting bashed up on the way or stolen. Should be enough for working on, will cost me about £50 in total once I have all the bits that I don't have already.
  18. Do you definately need more RAM? I hear people say this all the time to try and make their computer faster, and actually it does absolutely nothing to the speed of the computer, it just gives it more space to work: With that in mind, do you really need it? Have you had task mamanger open on the performance tab while doing whatever RAM intensive tasks it is you're doing? You'd be better off using matching sticks so you'll enable dual channel. Sounds like any PC5300 or PC6400 ram will work though, I'd use CPU-Z to find the motherboard and look it up on the manufacturers webiste though, to see if you can run anything higher, 1066mhz for example. Personally, I'd get a matching stick of whatever you already have. 1x2gb should be fine for every day stuff, and a single 1gb stick of DDR2 PC-5300 can be had for under £15 on ebay. If you need more, I'd go straight to 4gb (2 of those sticks you posted). Always sticking to Dual Channel is a good plan IMO.
  19. This. Plus one of these. Will cost £358. As for a monitor, these are great value apparantly. One of those makes that bundle £530. That should be a fairly decent system, good enough to handle most modern games. It doesn't have DDR3 ram, but from the benchmarks I've seen DDR3 isn't a huge increase over DDR2 really unless you have everything else at a higher spec. The CPU in that, I'm fairly certain, is a cut down quad core, so you could unlock it to be a quad again in theory. If not, you could upgrade the CPU to one of these if needed in the future. EDIT: Or what mark said.
  20. She started talking to me.... It'd be rude not to reply seeing as I'll be living 2 doors down from her for a year.
  21. Anyone using facebook to find people in their accomodation? There's a group for my halls, but out of 190ish people living there 20 have joined the group. Still, found one girl who lives in a flat somewhere near mine...
  22. You've bought the serial, there's no need to buy another, legally they have to grant you access to it. This is my understanding of it anyway.
