Racist sterotypes, nice...

It's your game, legally there has to be a way of unlocking the serial for your use. Phone up the company that made the game and be all, "bitch, unlock mah goddam game, stop bein a player hater yo". That'll sort it.

If you post https:// photos they often don't embed properly. glad you got it sorted, how did you measure the dBa though? Got an app for that?

Haha, I have one of those fans next to me, they're stupidly loud and collect dust way too easily. I've just built my brother's computer up with it and have exactly the same problem, I can't find a way of controlling it on the fly. What is needed is a PWM fan I think to scale the speed with temperature, but these only use the standard 3 pin. I have used one of those controllers I posted with it, and it does make a big difference, but in that system the loudest thing is the PSU. I have one of these with the stock fan in my system, it works brilliantly with my motherboard because the fan speed scales between 900 and 2000rpm depending on the temp of the CPU. If it were me I'd replace it with a PWM fan and cooler, but it might be worth trying one of those controllers. I have 3 in my system, one on each of the case fans, and they work really well. If you decided to replace the cooler, make sure you check the height of it, the Fenrir I have got is over 150mm tall, and some cases won't be able to fit it in.

Try going into the BIOS and looking for some kind of fan speed control. My motherboard adjusts the fan speed in relation to the CPU temperature. Might only be for PWM fans though. The only other way of quietening it would be a manual controller, or replacing the CPU fan and heatsink if needed.

Point face at said telephone. Apply common sense. Profit.

I don't bother with F1 any more, the penalties are always either too severe or not severe inough if you ask me. What did he get? Ban for the rest of the season? Or a nice little drive through...

7200rpm is quite a bit faster than 5400rpm though... Do they take 2.5" or 3.5" hard drives? I have a pair of 7200rpm 1TB Samsung F3 3.5" drives tucked up in the top of my computer case with nothing cooling them and they stay below 40C even when benching them, and they're never more than luke warm to touch?

In update to my RAM troubles last page.... Tried a spot of overclocking, and it just refused to boot when I underclocked the RAM on the multiplier. No idea whats going on there, I stuck with the stock 200mhz FSB but dropped the multi from 3.33 to 2.66, so the RAM would be at 533mhz instead of 677mhz. Nothing I could do to make it boot. Had enough of this RAM, it's cheap and shit. Bought a 2x1gb kit of 1066mhz Crucial stuff second hand, unused and in the wrapper (RMA return) for £25 posted. Should mean I can set the multiplier to x4.0 (the highest available) for 800mhz, and then up the FSB to 266, givng 1064mhz RAM and 3458mhz CPU. In theory....

Still had to PM for help...

Be a badass and steal it from the internet.

Does your HDD have W7 installed on it? If so it may be that it needs to be plugged into a W7 PC as a slave in order to read it. If that doesn't worked, sounds like it's had it. :/

I saw that clip, Schumi wasn't closing the door, he was trying to force Rubens into the wall! He moved off the racing line to try and force him to back off. Should have been banned for the rest of the season if you ask me, but then again, what do I know.

I had an 06 short, 07 long and an 08 disc long, my favourite was the 07 long. They didn't change it for 2008, just introduced the disc version alongside it. So then, 07 or 08 long maggy would be my choice.

No idea, does it feel like that hinge is slack/sloppy? The options are strip it down and try to mend it, take to someone else to strip it down and try to mend it, or just use it as it is.

Can't believe how many people in here are giving real advice, it was an accident! I doubt the guys really wanted to prong a taxi. It's the risk you take by going outside the house, you might get hurt... The most you should morally claim for IMO is any bills for acupuncture or massage theropy to mend your back. If you've been riding on it though do you really feel you deserve it? As Robin said, don't be an arse.
-
Nah te hinge itself will be fine, it's just the surround that has popped open. I'd just ignore it personally.
-
That also happens to be free? Not asking much...

Is there not an option for contiue the trial?
-
It's a fresh build, just trying to install windows. It failed with both, then the possibly dodgy one on it's own, now appears to be fine with the possibly not dodgy one.

Squeeze it hard, does it clip back together? If not, I wouldn't worry. The plastic bit is only a cover for the panel and cables, all the force of opening and shutting the lid goes through the LCD panel into the hinges. (On all the laptops I've had apart, including a Dell that's about 2-3 years old). Anyone in here had any trouble getting RAM stable? It's a fairly cheap 2x1gb DDR2 800mhz kit, I solved it in the past by running 1gb on it's own, but I can't really get away with that now. I put it down to the rubbish motherboard in the past but it can't be that, just replaced it for a decent Gigabyte one. Also could be down to the new graphics card or hard drive, but they were both working fine in my computer when they were removed. I've never set memory timings before, just the frequency and voltage. Any advice would be appreciated, gonna stick a topic on the OCUK forum as well. EDIT: Never mind, one of them is borked by the looks of it. Might just try pumping some volts through it...

You need to open up a business account in the trading name of the company. I was going to, but I'm a sole trader under my own name so there's no need. The tiny amounts of money I've earnt make it seem kinda pointless to open one too.

Have you run windows update? Could easily be a fix for this. I also googled it, didn't spot a solution on the first page. Or alternatively, choose from Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Safari. I recommend Opera for normal browsing, I loves it.

Hopefully you've chosen your housemates a bit more wisely this time.....
