  1. 40 a day. Is he a full time paper boy or summat?
  2. People still ride BIU rules? FAIL.
  3. No unfortunately not, 16 and under. It's a f**king rediculous rule, it's meant that we can't ride comps any more because my brother is 15, and has a TY250 like mine. He's 5'10", and over 9 stone. An older 125 GasGas wouldn't move him anywhere, and a new one costs too much for us to afford. IMO all that rule has done is stop people getting on the ladder young. People who fancy giving it a try now need to spend at least a grand on a bike, (unless they don't mind riding a shed). I know another lad who was 16 last time I saw him about 2 years ago, he was 6' 2" then, and bought a 125 Raga Rep, and it was rubbish for him. Before that he'd been riding a Raga 300. If you're a bit naughty, you can always just put 125 stickers on a bigger bike, and while we got away with that for about a year after the rule came in, it's a bit much now. It means your ACU License is void, and the club insurance doesn't cover you... Also our club announced if they caught anyone at it they'd get a lifetime ban, which was the decider for us.
  4. He's 15, so if he's wanting to do any comps he'll need a 125. I don't know much about modern bikes, apart from they break all the time. (If my mates bikes are anything to go by). I've got a 1988 Yamaha TY250R, had it for 4 years and nothings ever gone wrong with it yet, apart from a couple of broken levers and I wore the chain and sprockets down so much the teeth snapped off. However, it weighs 92kg, and drinks fuel. At one competition when my mate's GasGas 280 used 5l of fuel, mine used 12l.
  5. Nothing like watching someone good riding two of your favourite spots to show up just how shit you were at your peak.
  6. The f**king Driving Standards Agency.....
  7. My Mother's bloke has a Desire, I love it, but after a lot of research I've decided to go for a Samsung Galaxy S over it. Similar price and several better features, plus it looks hotter IMO. Not an iPhone fan at all, I just prefer the Android OS to the iPhone one. I'd try to steer clear of Windows Mobile powered phones as well, I don't know anyone who is happy they went for it over Android or an iPhone. ---- Bit more info on the Galaxy S, as that's the only one I really understand. Here's the one I've been looking at: No down payment, £30 a month, 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mb of data. On the Galaxy S, I believe you can set up a number of wireless networks, so if it comes in range of any of these networks, it will connect to that and use it, so you don't have to use up any of the 500mb data limit. Also, I'm told it's best to buy from either mobiles.co.uk or the carphonewarehouse, because you can get some really good deals on them. (8 1/2 months half price on the example above at mobiles.co.uk). However, mobiles.co.uk have had some shocking reviews....
  8. They come across as talentless bumbling fools on purpose, because it's funny. Clarkson has at least 1 weekly column in some paper or other, Hammond has presented loads of other telly things too.
  9. They tried. Didn't work.
  10. Where can they go though? They've done the Polar episode, USA roadtrip, Africa, and Vietnam. Same with the big races, they've gone right across Europe pretty much, several times, there's just nothing new for them to do. I thought that they could do a cheap car challenge on 80s hot hatches which would be pretty interesting.
  11. Point your face at the pic. Clearly it's gonna get the spec changed a fair bit, so how do you know Andy isn't just lending the bits to her until she replaces them? More to the point, what's wrong with a dude building his bint a bike out of old parts he already has so she can ride? F**kwit...

  14. Turn it harder and it'll undo.
  15. You've stripped the thread off the bolt? Or rounded the head out of it so the allen key can can turn it?
  16. Shouldn't be stiff if you're stripped the threads out of the frame, should just come out no trouble?

    Films!?

Haha, Pulp Fiction is probably my second favourite film ever after High Fidelity. My favourite line has to be, "well I'm a mushroom cloud laying motherf**ker motherf**ker!", closely followed by, "oh I'm sorry did I break your concentration?" And of course...

    Films!?

Is it just me, or is Resevoir Dogs not all it's cracked up to be? I just spent the whole film waiting for something to happen, but nothing really did....
  22. I use a program called Delta CAD, only 2D, but it's free, very simple to use and will run on the oldest most useless computers around. I did all my design training on paper, so I don't like working in 3D. Download the demo, set the date on your computer to a few years in the future, install it, set it back to 2010, and then instead of being limited to 45 days it limits to several years.
  23. Anyone heading down from more-north than me? I'm told brakeless, seated 26"s are welcome?

    Films!?

Watched Toy Story 3 last night, was alright, not worth a second watch though.
  25. Hey look it's them people off the telly! Gotta say Courtnay seems like an inspiring person, hats off to her for the work she's doing in his memory.
