  1. Not applying, but moving out for my second year. Got a place right in the student village in sheffield, 0.7 miles from the uni. This makes me happy I'm doing Web Systems Design.

    Films!?

PM'd everyone who has asked up to now. Thing is though, don't read up on it at all. and don't talk about it in here with specifics. You just need to go in completely blind.

    Films!?

If you do away with the purely sick violent nature of it, I think the plot line and direction was really good. Unfortunately it's kinda marred by the nastiness. I did like how the violence didn't just ramp up and up through the film, it went up and down, so you never really knew what was coming next. The, errm, "suffocation", was the bit that got me the most to be honest.

    Films!?

Can't believe I still haven't seen that yet, rediculous really....

    Films!?

Just finished watching the film Mike mentioned, and he made a very good call not posting it. It's the most grotesque thing I've ever seen. Very atmosphering and well directed if you ask me, but f**k me the content is disturbing. It's the kind of film where it's so bad, no-one can really explain to you what is in it. You just have to see it, or not. Mind of steel required.
  6. I have had more than one bike for ages now, until today, when I sold the zona. Now I am truely brakeless, indeed.
  7. 100g saved for £6 on grips and £1 on sellotape, or 100g saved by spending £100 on TI bolts? Yes, I added it all up on Tarty once.
  8. I have mine facing backwards personally.
  9. I want to rekindle that avatar bandwagon.

    The 4x4 Thread

Anyone from the north who is contemplating going to said 4x4 meet, pick me up?
  11. Mat Smith is a spacker. This must now mean Ben is too? :/
  12. You going to be sticking with flat pedals?

    Films!?

In for PM. I'm not a fan of these films at all, I just want to see what the fuss is about.
  14. Oh Rainbird, you f**king legend. EDIT: Unrelated to your situation Harry, hope you get it sorted pal, either way.
  15. If you can be bothered to practice properly and take it seriously, then yes you can reap some big benefits, like better balance, bike control etc. If however you're just trying to spice up your trials career and just ride round doing bunnyhops and pedal grinds, then no, not really. In my opinion.
  16. Sellotape. Saves weight over normal rim tape. I once saved 50g total off my bike doing that, and another 50g by changing to foam grips.
  17. They really are rather poor. I had one once, only lasted a month. In that time I rebuilt it about 4 times and ended up welding it shut. Then I got a Tensile 60 click, which lasted me 2 and a half years. (I kept transferring it across my bikes). Actually I have another Tensile now. It's 3 years old but has hardly been used.

    Long Mod

What the f**k if this shit about? You changed frames?! After like 5 years of running the same Zona?
  19. Personally, I hate them. Trialtech Foams ***.

    Long Mod

I want that T-Lite. I ran T-Pro forks on my first Zip. 1075WB with a +55bb, and about a 60D head angle. It was actually pretty nice when I got used to it, I could roll up stuff that I can't tap now.

    Long Mod

Wasn't yours a proto though? Mine is a later one. 1053WB and +50bb when I measured it.

Could I interest you in a Zona Zip?

    Long Mod

Monsterboy. My mate has one, and if it had a properly long wheelbase (1050ish), it'd be my perfect mod. If you are after a spare frame, I have a T-Lite I need to shift? It's the short version though, so 990, +50 and mega short stays.
  24. It doesn't matter now, if the bolt is bottoming out on the end of the BB axle, the splines in the crank are knackered and it needs replacing. Putting a spacer in now will only hold the crank arm back off the BB so it'll actually be even looser than before.
  25. Danny had his foot down by the time the bike hit the kids head, and he jumped straight up. Probably just more scared than actually hurt.
