  1. Good work mate, hope it serves you well once it's mended!
  2. Also the best pads I used, although the only decent setup I used had Citrus pads, which were amazing but wore down in a couple of rides, then phatpads which were OK but never really lived up to the hype, then I got the heatsinks which were great.
  3. Those rules are bollocks if you ask me anyways, if you're under 10 you can get a TY80, (We didn't bother with that though, just stuck my brother on a TY250, he couldn't even start it until he was 12, and then he had to stand on something with his left leg ), but if you're say 13, what have you got? Either a Fantic 125 if you can actually find one, or an old knackered GasGas... (The only one's I've seen for around £600 have always needed something, usually engine rebuilds and shock linkages). Then if you're 16 and wanting to start comps, you've got nothing because unless you can afford a modern 125, they're all pretty gutless! (I'm basing that on my mates old GasGas 200 Pro from 2004 being utterly nothingless when I rode it, when I was 14 and about 8 stone!).
  4. To compete at 14 you'd be in Youth A I think, and you'd have to have a 125. You used to be able to get round it though, we just used to write down that my brother's bike was a 125 but they're getting tough on it now.
  5. If you want to come and try a more modern geo bike, you're welcome to pop round and have a go on the Simtra mate.
  6. Don't assume anything, could be the ram, or the slot on the motherboard, or the memory controller messing up, or the BIOS needed resetting, or some spazzy latencies or anything really. Download MemTest, and run it for 2 hours with every stick/slot combination, and if you get no errors on all 4 tests then stick both in, reset the CMOS battery (this will reset the bios so you'll have to set anything you've changed), then try and get it to boot with both.
  7. The bolt method is better, coins can easily be crushed and pushed inside the bb.
  8. If you download Knoppix and burn to a DVD, then run it from that it should allow you to copy your files and docs onto something else. If it won't boot then it's probably a hardware issue you've got. I've never actually used Knoppix so I don't know how well it will work.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDHT0hBgVOw&NR=1 The could have been using hydrogen fuel cells since 1985. (Although not alone, the hydrogen is mixed with petrol I think).
  10. How about a user review system like on overclockers.co.uk? Shouldn't be very hard to implement it.
  11. You don't, you can cheapy converter kits from ebay for around £5-10, I got one to convert an IDE drive to USB. Actually works pretty well lol. I'd work whether your hard drive is IDE or SATA then get one of them.
  12. Try booting from a live CD, if that works then it narrows it down to either an OS, hard drive, or SATA/IDE controller issue. Most likely the OS has died in that case. (In my experience). Best thing you can do is take the hard drive out, connect it up as a slave to another computer and copy all your files off it. Shouldn't have handed the assignment in but applied for extenuating circumstances!
  13. Don't ever come to Derbyshire mate, you will not like.
  14. It didn't fit, had to be extended so it would work. Mainly so it could have a lever stop.
  15. Yep, I've done it. EDIT: Pics. EDIT2: In fact, I have everything in a bag in the shed, except the lever body, piston and spring. All the plates, bolts, lever blade etcare there. you want them, pm me an offer. Looks shit, works amazing. I was gonna get a white lever body for my Simtra and put it on that, I much preferred it over an 05.
  16. Try burning the pads out on the hob of a gas cooker or with a blow torch, then sanding them down, then bedding it in again. It'd also be a good idea to scrub the rotor to try and get it clean.
  17. I think that's an 03 team stem, no split clamp at the bars, so you'd be very hard pressed to get hold of one now! Never seen any of the later ones do that.
  18. I've been riding 4 years, whenever I've snapped a chain with the split link in, it's the split link that snaps. Say what you like but to me, that shows the split link is the weakest part of a chain.
  19. Get rid of the split link, no point having a "weak link" in your chain.
  20. I think it depends on the version of Vista.
  21. Just did that, didn't know anything about it but it's off now, using Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
  22. I was using 9.10 64 bit, just kept losing it constantly, I never really spent long trying to get it to stick though, just decided I couldn't live without MS Office and the Adobe Master Collection lol. (Now using OSX on a netbook though so I can have them both).
