Never been pulled yet, but went past of the end of a road doing 65 in a 40 limit on my bike, as I did a police car pulled up at the junction and pulled out behind me, slowed down sharpish and they tailed me for about 5 miles then eventually pulled over, I was fairly scared, thought they'd pull me for my L plates being too small for the sake of it. (Only slightly too small though, still a decent amount of white around the L).

Really really needs that block and spoke protector sorting out! I'm guessing it has the freewheel built into the block? In which case you can either lose most of the sprockets and just leave the one you want on, or replace the lot with a freewheel. On those blocks all the sprockets slide on, and the smallest sprocket acts as a lockring. just remove the block (usually with a lockring tool), then mount it up on the lockring tool and use a chain whip to remove the smallest lockring sprocket. Then drop off the rest of the sprockets, and screw the lockring sprocket back on! Done it before, makes it looks slightly neater.

have you seen how big an optical drive is? Netbooks are small for a reason. And you don't need to remove the hard drive, that's such a massive overkill. Just format a pen drive to install the OS from, took me less than half an hour to set it up. Griffdawg. You have 2 options, Pen Drive (4gb+), or a USB DVD drive, either will do, and give me a shout if you want help. Upgrade to Windows 7 aswell! I did on my NC10, it's far better than XP.

Dunno maybe 10 miles? Buxton would be best to ride, again probably around 10 miles for you. Round here is shit. Matlock isn't that far really either, maybe 45 mins for you I think if you go via Buxton, havn't ridden there in ages though, I really need to get riding again! Havn't seen Kyle in like 6 months or more either.

What screen resolution are you running? Sounds some codeage needs writing to scale the images in the lightbox down for each resolution size... Get cracking tom.
