  1. Normally I'll just go somewhere else if he starts it, or go and see how far I can wheelie up the road. He might be able to do the trials stuff but his little 125 can't wheelie for shit.
  2. Depends which club and events you do, I also find that riding an older bike and wearing jeans, they never talk to you. I really hate them though, there's one lad who's Dad is one of them wankers that clean their bikes for them and run in front of them through each section, and whenever I see him when we're practicing he has to try everything I do. Not being all dramatic either, this has been going on for about 3 years, if I'm trying a big step, he starts doing it aswell, yet he's never spoken a word to me.
  3. Lad that lives at Hawks Nest near Buxton, he's one of my best trials mates, it never stopped breaking down so he has a GasGas now, or did last time I was up there.
  4. Shush it chubbs, I've still won competitions on my old shitter. I would really like a 4RT, but other than that there's no other bike I prefer to my TY.
  5. Meh I've been trying modern bikes for 6 years now, if I can't get on with them now I never will. Weight placement feels perfect on a TY mono to me aswell, modern stuff feelslike the weight is too far back to me. I just don't really like them apart from the 4RT, the wheelbase just feels to short on all the Betas and especially GasGas's I've ridden. Not keen on steep head angles either.
  6. See there's the added bonus of a Yam, it doesn't break when you drop it. I've had my current one for 3.4 years, I've broken one front brake lever and bent the rear brake lever, and that's it! Worn out several rear tyres in that time aswell and I tend to drop it a couple of times a ride.
  7. Your's was one of them shitty TY250S things wasnt it? I had one, my brother has it now, the R I now have is better in almost every way, they have better suspension (front and rear), different frame, tank, seat, cylinder head. I'll be sticking with my R anyway, it's nice and strong and I don't find the weight to be a problem now I've had one for 6 years. (Well 5 and a half).
  8. If you're 18, definately get a 250 at least I say! It's easy to learn on a more powerful trials bike, just don't open the throttle as far.
  9. It won't need it yet, Joe hardly rode it lol. Basically when something breaks or they start skipping I think.
  10. Nah it was second hand, just serviced it I think.
  11. That rear wheel build still going strong then haha, you can't be riding it hard enough, gotta be 2 years oldnow at least. Still looking good though.
  12. I wasn't aware, but congrats! I had my Kot for almost exactly a year (within a week or so). Tis noice, I like that. Strip the rear brake though man! Looks a mess. Do you ride it often?
  13. It's only just really clocked that that was 6 years ago. Meh trials bikes always feel underpowered to me, I don't really notice on mine because you expect an 80s aircooled engine to be underpowered, but about a year or so ago I rode my mates brand new 08 250 Beta and it was nothing like as powerful as I expected, it was really smooth so brilliant for slippy stuff, just for big climbs wih the throttle wide it didn't pull like I expected. I also recently had a go on an ex-TRW team 4RT, which was a bit more like it, if I got a modern bike now it'd have to be one of them. Nice and torquey, I took it up the road where we practice and when you opened it up in 4th gear it wheelied under it's own steam, I didn't wack the throttle to the stop either, I just clicked up to 4th and wound it on to about half open and it wheelied.
  14. Do people really take notice of the 125 rule? We just used to write down 125 on the sheet. (Back int day when no-one cared). Is it 18 now? So that means you could be a 200lb 17 year old national level rider and still be on a 125? Last time I had a go on a GasGas 200 it had less torque than my old TY, so these 125s must be useless unless they've been revolutionised since 2004.
  15. Questions like this usually go in here. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=39601
  16. 14 year olds aren't that stupid these days though, we all did but my brothers 14 and almost no-one he knows does apparantly. The chavs probably still do but they always will anyway.

  18. Dude I was being sarcastic. If you leave people to run their own lives, they tend to f**k it up.
  19. What happened to the good old days when people ran their own f**king lives.

    Cod 5? On Pc

Find out the full model and spec, otherwise how do we know what it is? The graphics card is onboard, you can't upgrade it. If it's not powerful enough, it ain't happening I'm afraid.
  21. Feel free to have a stab you gutter class citizen you. If succesful, you may even get a validation vote out of it...
  22. I think you could definately live without your iPod to be honest... I couldn't live without my clothes, I'd die in the winter.

    Dual Monitors.

Simps, does your graphics card have more than one output? In which case all you need is an adapter for the second cable, mine has one VGA, and another DVI, I've used a DVI to VGA adapter before.

Maybe we should have a topic where we can all recommend new seniors? Why MadManMike isn't yet I don't understand, he's old and that?
  25. I have one, I'll never be without now, they work amazingly well. Not that to fit at all if you're careful and the bleeding isn't a pain in the arse at all, you just do it from both sides.
