  1. its probably alot easier on a mod than a bmx. on a stock would be a bit tricky id have thought.
  2. wouldnt that be two oppising pistons though? im probably wrong though. the pistons would need to move along way but more leverage so could be better. it just complicates things though i think with the pivot as opposed to a single movemnet of piston pushing pad onto rim.
  3. they are good at selling, quick respinses helpful etc.... they are not soo quick to respond when i ask where my free t shirt was though after a £300 order.
  4. well pace do it with carbon. if i was doing it i would be tempted to just fit some aluminium tubes in. they could evn be pinned in or welded then into the cnc crown. also.. not sure if this would work.. but maybe try getting some junior t or 888's or whatever and slide the stancions down into the bottom clamp and then bind into a dropout. not sure how long these stancions are though.
  5. i have found that brakes are quite useful so id like to keep those. being sensible though. king headset.
  6. i guess a reason why they are doing it is for the extra millions of viewers they will get
  7. nice.. id cut that seatube down a bit or get one of those acneil sl seat/seaposts.
  8. heres some footage of them attempting.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pRafK7ArUg
  9. these vans are quicker though. anyway. its not an r8 its a transit.
  10. when i built up a new bike for the first time in a few years i decided to go for mavic f519 rear and 517 front. also the small front tyre. radial spoke pattern of course. my bike has a seat aswell, because its a bike.
  11. i just dont get why you slag it off, but still sign up. whats the deal with that? like watching tv..i dont like this program but fcuk it hey carry on watching.
  12. you say that, yet have a link to your myyspace page in your sig
  13. they are clearing their gunmetal stock because of the new gunsmoke colour. i suspect many gunmetal parts will be going cheap on the site.
  14. he did say on the design to use those domed washers as featured on avid disc brakes to get the right angle.
  15. not really its just you know where everything is
  16. there really is little point IMO. for the huge amount of added weight when compared to a single strong rim. also reminds me of the huge guy in bristol that was running 2 chains. oddly though he had a snowflake patterned front wheel... not the strongest of wheelbuilds.
  17. to be fair, that looks good. i did think it looked a mess before as a frame but looks good now. obviously spent some time polishng.
  18. its great how assumptions start. magura has a huge amount of patenting n their brakes. surely other companies would have done it by now. i.e. shimano. if anyone could get around this 'loophole' bollox it would be shimano. perhaps they will be made by someone else and branded magura, in return for a huge stake in the profits? its impossible to tell who made them from a picture..or so and so said that so and so said he heard this.
