  1. Hey hey, Ok. You don't like it. Its not just for trials. Its an on line bike shop. Its a bit too late now but if the service and the deals are there then who cares what it is called? I know it doesn't bother me too much. Its not a brand its what you type into the address bar to find a shop. One word for you.......Wiggle.
  2. How long have nike and adidas had their logos for? you change a logo then you scrap 20 years of recognition, people see the logo and know what it is before they read it. Some companys change their logos and lose thier face I think. We thought about changing it at the sart of the year but its just not that great of idea. Spoke to Adam at Tarty about it too and he agreed. Why does a name bother you so much? you have remembered it so I guess its done its job.
  3. Thanks for the offer, If we do then Ill let you know. I'm gonna be brave for the time being and keep it a big secret!
  4. a ha! The joys! Anything you want me to bring? Have you seen the results Bango has been getting resently?
  5. I'm trying to give Onza a better image, So hopefully you will like it.
  6. Nope, We wont be selling direct from the site. It doesn't look professional when we direct out distributors to it. Super Cycles is having a make over too but there are only one set of tired hands working on it all. I agree with you totally, Thats why we are having a whole new fresh face. We tried about two years ago to do it but the guy who was doing let us down big time and wasted money and time. New guys is doing an awesome job of it and is making rapid progress. Out old website does reflect an image and I cant help but think its caused a few "Onza Bashers". Our current website was developed by a part timer who left around 5 years ago and we have struggled like f*ck to update it so it was just left neglected.
  7. I know I'm only 22 but I feel sometimes as though its something I should have done years ago, But I just knocked together a 2003 T-Pro a couple of weeks ago and loving it. Thinking about posting my first 4 back hops as a bit of a joke but you know, Might get ridiculed. Edit: I just put the wrong age down, Thought I was 23 for a bit. :$
  8. Well thats what we are testing.
  9. Should be in about 2-3 weeks. The world will stand still for that THE Onza site has been updated. I shall hold an on-line funeral for the old sites fans. All 3 of you should be able to pay your respects.
  10. Thanks Rowan, Like you say. the proof will be in the pudding. If it brakes you know will not have been successful. If it doesn't then we shall be letting people buy it. We have asked for the next proto to have a tear drop affect on the top tube, But it does need to pinch in so there is weld contact. The little post box's have been asked to be covered up, failing that we shall put a little bit of sticky tap over them ha ha. We have released pictures of them because once drawings are floating around in Taiwan its any body's for the taking. We will be going ahead with all the frames although some may come out faster then others. Is it a bad thing if the average Joe can have a headtube like Mr Hermace's? that is if its strong enough.
  11. Sorry Scientist, I should have worded the first post better. Ive don th riders blog now. Should be only a few more weeks!
  12. Might still have them, We just thought it would be better to test it with out them. OBM has the right point with that the only possibly disaster with it is for the head tube to bend in on its self like this.... / \ ....Sorry that was a poor example. But I doubt that will happen as it should of happened quite early on in testing. Anodized steerer tube will look the sex through it. Muel, That was 4 years ago. Some times things slip from under you.
  13. Well, Thats the only way you can test it, Unless you use these stress CAD things. The rules of proto typing are: You make one in the design you want. You then test to see if you can build it I.E chain line, Brake mounts Geo are right. Then you test it for weak spots. You then make a few more for more riders to test with any improvements or try out paint jobs. You make then you make production. On off frames cost a lot of money so you all ways start with just the one. People have pointed out their concerns over the head tube, I had concerns too. BUT thats why you test things, It wont be released until its ready for the public. So I would not worry.
  14. Think its to do with when he was a kid, Nothing to do with trials. ????? Because he is testing one for weakness's in the headtube?
  15. I know the head tube looks weak, But he has been riding it a few months and I have told him to do as many repetitive harsh hooks as he can and there are no cracks so its looking good. Rob, Yep its Bango's alright. Might be coming to see you again on Weds.
  16. Here you go guys, Some pics of Karl's "only one in the country" Skull, Cheers
  17. Alex, The frame is very light, Prob about 1.6 KG. I've heard as well that a king BMX set up is lighter then a freewheel setup. And since I last posted I have herd it from Joe himself that it does weigh that much. I'm not going to go into it much more on defending the weight but I really cant see why it should not be that weight. The thread was about the bike picture not about who are weight weenies.
  18. Good luck to all the UK riders who are going. hope you all show 'em how its done.
  19. Yeah sorry dude, Read your post in a bit more detail after I wrote that, Sorry. But Yeah I must admit that the Super Cycles and Onza.com are SH*TE. We all now it here at Onza. Its finding the right person who can do a really good job of it and train the staff up at the same time so we can update it ourselves without just adding text to a long list of news. This is my 3rd year at Onza and I have never seen an update on either so I've been working night and day trying to organize it all. Its pretty difficult when you have 2 jobs, (Moore Large, Driving around shops selling 2 days week) and then Working for Onza direct making the bread and butter to keep things going. I'm going to go ahead with the riders blog idea I think. Lets them tell you what they have been doing etc which should make an interesting read. Keep the ideas coming guys.
  20. Thanks guys for the info, Its very similar to what you were explaining. ITS NOT BEEN UPLOADED YET SO STOP LOOKING AT THE OLD ONE It will have a history bit like someone asked for, Thats already been set up, It looks pretty cool to see all the frames over the years. OBM had a good point about release dates, Might make a whole section for that. The dealer locater looks brilliant, Got a world map made in flash so it revolves and the you go by continent, county and area. Then you get to see all your local stockists. Some one said it should be like Tartys, its completely different because its a brand website. Tarty's is an excellent dealer site. Point taken though with how simple it should be., Team are having there own portfolios etc with links to their videos. Really excited about showing you guys. It was an absolute ball ache writing a paragraph of description for every part or bike Onza do. but it will all be worth it in the end.
  21. It is a compleatly new website, Its nothing like the very dated existing one.
  22. Hi Guys, I'm 60% done the new Onza.com and wanted to get your thoughts. What would you guys like to see on our website? Some nude photos of me with a hedgehog covering my bits maybe? But seriously, what do you wanna see on there? Cheers Joe EDIT by OBM: NEW ONE NOT UPLOADED YET - ONZA.COM = THE OLD SITE
