  1. I would agree with that completely! Really smooth and contolled as well, good style. Love the stupidly big gap to manual too
  2. oh my god! that was insane! classic
  3. Depend if you are just going out for a chilled ride or want to push your boundaries. I think the latter could warrent using them. Personally i never wear shinnies, have tryed using my 661 DH ones before in the past but are too big and annoing. It does sucks when u do hit your shins but the pain soon goes and its not long before your peddling round again, plus you get some pretty awsome war wounds! Would have thought that the 661 veggie wraps would be ok for trials though.
  4. V-brakes are OK, but lack the power of a hs33. You dont have to worry about the cable streaching with hydralic brakes giving them a much more positive lever feel. I would definitly say that a well set up pair of maguras would out perform v-brakes quite easily. Pad choice is vital however, as the standard pads that come with the hs33's can lack bite and not be a lot better than v's! Im running the onza citrus pads with the direct mount magura set up and it has made the world of difference, very reliable. Nice screechy noise as well that lets you know that there doing something!
  5. Yea, cant wait to getback to plym! so much gd stuff to ride bk there! Does suck, but at least i have my dh bike with me, even if there isnt anywhere local to ride it! lol. Getting your bike stolen must suck big time! id hate that, wouldnt be able to afford to replace it!
  6. Hi, I have been back from uni for about a week now, but wasnt able to bring my trials bike back with me. Already im getting frustrated as I keep spotting lines, but are unable to try them due to lack of bike! AARRGG! Is anyone else out there feeling the same and missing their bike?!?
  7. cheears man, thats a pretty usefull!
  8. Yea, thats what i was thinking. Found that especially on rocks that 22:16 was way too big, but quite nice on the street. Going to give 22:18 a whirl for a while, should be better.
  9. Hia, Was just wondering what size gear ratios everyone is running? I have been running a 22t up front and 16t on the back. going to put an 18t on the back though as i find that the 16's too big.
  10. Eat and chill out with a bit of family guy
  11. yea sorry, there onza ronnie and reggie rims on there own brand hubs. there both drilled and althought the front 1s pretty light, the rear is quite burley.
  12. im really a downhiller by heart. i originally took up trials in the summer for a bit of variety, but now im hooked and riding it every day pretty much. Not quite enough to call myself a trials rider instead of a DH'r yet though! I also ride a hardtail for jumping and used to ride bmx, but cant afford 4 bikes whilst at uni! lol
  13. yea, i no the frame isnt the lightest although saying that i was playing around on one of my mates t-rex (the big bro 26 inch one) and hes managed to set his up so its really quite light. I changed my inners today to thin ones and the rear wheel without tube or tire is still pretty damn hefty. Spose I cant really expect it to be that light as it is only a fairly cheep wheel at the end of the day. Thinner tubes have helped a bit though so at least its better than it was! chears guys
  14. Sounds like cheepo inners are the way forward, i like the sound of that! nice cheep up-grade (or downgrade?!?). Iv got to admit, ive herd good things about the holy rollers, how light actually are they in relative terms say to the high roller? can you get single ply ones?
