  1. If the song ur after is the first one he plays as he turns on the stereo, its Chingy - Right Thurr.. Google, 30 secs, and a line of lyrics got that one..! lol "Look at her hips,BUT,look at her legs, aint she stacked?, I shole wouldn't mind hittin that from the back" - just Luvly! Youtube Video -> Original Video ps. if ur thinking of the heavy rock tune aftr tht one, then not a fkin clue m8.. Now hurry up n release vid 7 ! grr.. luv ur riding m8! - inspiring..
  2. I had the silver version..n' they wernt all tht old.. was just quite suprized to see them sheer in two soo easily! Ordered some echo 7075 ali cnc'd ones from tarty for replacement!
  3. Hi all, just a quick query about magura branded 4bolt mounts.. Mine has just snapped on me during alignment. I can understand how the slightest bit of movement in the slaves (if not tightened properly) may produce more stress on the mount, however the slave in question was mounted / tightened fully and only snapped on pulling the lever to check alignment. Was just wondering if this is a one off or if it has happened to anyone else in the past? Also - any recommendations on my next choice from tartybikes?.. I have been told the Echo 4bolt mounts are generally the stiffest! Ta..
  4. Hi all, I posted the other day about my 04 magura lever sticking on piston retraction.. And still havn't been able to find a solution! Ive taken the lever body apart and thoroughly cleaned it. The piston and spring and chamber are all spotless and are in need of some sort of lube to get them sliding nicely.. Ive tried WD40 and oil.. but for some reason the piston (when reinserted) wont retract fully back up the chamber.. Infact it sometimes just goes in and gets stuck! I thought ok, maybe its got a blemish somewhere thats stopping it from moving freely, however all surfaces are perfectly smooth. Thinking that one may b faulty, i got an old one that i wasnt using any more and tried the exact same procedure on that one.. SAME prob.. (note: these were previously working levers - no knocks/dents) Clearly buying a new lever would be the perfect solution, however this surely should be easily sorted.. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what fluid/lube to use around the piston body and chamber (note: this is going to be and has been a water bleed for the last yr) ? Note: I have also tried leaving it as it is and bleeding it in the sink as per usual, however the lever being as it is wont move the water through the system properly and therefore fails..
  5. Hmm.. For some reason the piston doesn't want to spring back up the chamber. It's as if the spring isn't strong enough to push it up on its own! Its not been bled yet, however surely the lever itself should be able to spring back on its own accord with both grub nuts and brake housing removed shouldn't it? I could understand if the system was closed but both sections of the chamber are open to the air, and therefore the piston should move freely back up.. or am i just being a spaz? any ideas?
  6. Hi all, quick question... I've just been cleaning out my maggie 04 lever piston before a water bleed and wondered if it would benefit having a small helping of grease around the piston chamber. Supposedly the oil would give it that required lubrication when bled as it should be, however when using water in the system would it require a lil extra helping hand? Also could the same be said with the slave braking pistons? Just a quickie but thought i'd ask before putting it all back together! Ta..! n' before u say dont use water.. i aint listening..

  9. Ive been seeing quite a few CK service questions lately on the forum, ie. how much? and is it possible to DIY? Hopefully with the aid of this vid I spotted on Google Video should help you make up your mind on that second option! Google vid link if that dont work for u, simply type in "Chris King" into http://video.google.co.uk hope that helps!.. Regards to the Tartybikes for very informative vids! keep them coming! pro2T SS next please?..
  10. Cheers Ash, that was the plan at first.. as I was thinking of chucking the 2 smaller cogs off my 8sp cassette and securing it back on.. The lockring however wont tighten onto anything but the last cog. Want to shed a bit of weight off the back end with new pro2. Still trying to get used my new 05 pitbull, big change from my planet x mk6 ghost!
  11. Forgot to mention I had already scoured tartybikes / ebay and the CK ones and surely ones are all i can find at 17T.. I just cant justify the doubling in price simply to get that tooth count when 16T - 18T are available everywhere for around £16 !
  12. Hi all..! As some of you may be aware, its quite a challenge to find 17T shimano splined (ie not screw on) sprockets for anything under the £35 mark. For some reason 17 is highly uncommon and is proving difficult to find at a sensible price. Any ideas for a source anyone? Thanks!
