I don't reckon there needs to be much R&D on most of the ECHO/GU etc. products as they're pretty much perfect for what they've been designed for. They seem to have got it right in terms of frame strength and all that and dont see why they would need many protos, there's not much new developments which would need them either considering all his frames from the last years have been near identical.

They seem very promising at the moment, but they've only just been fitted so couldn't give you a definite answer yet. Even though they've not worn in they haven't slipped on me at all. I could definitely see a grind working well with these but i enjoy the modulation on a smooth rim and the pads suit this perfectly! They're also completely silent at the moment which makes a difference

dk iron cross grips, nice and comfy on your hands and the bar ends stop the grip slipping all over your bars

Had this bike for a while now and I've got to say that its the best bike I've ever ridden. Finally finished so thought I'd post it up here for you lot to have a look. Spec front (rhyno lite on pro2) rear (kris holm on pro 2) urban forks Tryall stem with spank bars bb7 up front middle burns revel pedals kmc chain vee on the rear also trying to run another gear on the back making getting places easier without having to play around with a set of gears + deralleur etc. but the problem is that the chain seems to ride up the cog (12t - gusset bachelor) whenever i start pedaling, any ideas what the problem could be? only thing i can see being a possible problem is it's a 5/64 sprocket, have any of you had this problem with this cog before? any ideas how to fix it? had problems with my khe chain too... seems that my tensioner wasn't keeping the chain tight enough due to there being so many stiff links, best thing to try is maybe taking a link out if you can, if not lube up the chain as much as you can to make it less stiff if that fails try another chain, switched to my half link chain and had no problems...until it snapped

Alright, got my bike set up all nice, only problem was the chain was skipping loads! Was using one of the £10 mr control tensioners all set up right then i switch to a big fat derailleur and it seemed fine. Now wanted to add another gear to make it easier to cycle round places (one for trials, one a bit harder) and since fitting it to my bike the chain just skips like crazy on the gear I'm pretty sure this is down to the chain not being tight enough. Using a KHE Collapse (short as possible on the setup) on 20x16/12 gearing (Cogs are as central as possible to give a nice straight chainline) Any ideas how i could sort this out?

looks hoofing mate! reminds me of the 24" ciguena they had on tarty with the pink/black hope mine looks and rides as good, going for a blue/white/black build inspired's seem to be getting really popular, onza zoots are fairly similar and i don't remember seeing as many of them around when they were released

koxxtrials id be grateful of the bike you have if i were you! Tmags aren't a bad bike and you seem to be making loads of topics slagging them off. You must have seen how good Matt Staples can ride one. My advice is stop winging about your bike and get out and ride it! And in case you wanted to know, yeh i think that t-mag is a slight improvement on the old one Alex

My bike was doing this last weekend, all it needed was tightening up the bottom bracket What bottom bracket have you got on now then? If you're riding this weekend remind me to take a look at it if it isn't sorted by then! Alex

take a look at this lid http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx...odID=5360028969 looks a nice strong helmet similar to the xen (which costs around £80!) so if you're looking for a decent cheap-ish helmet i'd say go for that, if that seems too much just go for a pisspot, you can pick em up under £20 Alex

I would say only use painted sidewalls if you are thinking of running a disk on the wheel. I'v got a fluro pink on the rear and I used to have a real problem with my magura slipping, especially when using tar on it for sum reason. Eventually i decided to sand the paint off the sidewalls and it's made a the brake loads better!! So my advice is to use an anodised rim if you're running a rim brake and want the coloured sidewalls Take a look at the revell rims, you can get them in 36h and they're anodised If you're really set on getting white rims though, prepare for the paint wearing off/haveing to be sanded down hope this helps Alex

V8's are decent pedals but i would choose revells over them any day! -nice and wide -grippy as F**K! -lightweight -sealed bearings only thing that lets them down is they cost near twice the V8s but well worth it Alex

In the end i just thought it looked much better and i heard they were nice to ride so i went for it

i was stuck choosing between these two frames, in the end stuck with the echo lite and its been great! so i would say go for the echo comes with bash plate very low standover height i haven't ridden the monty though so can't say how it compares all i know is that the monty is better suited to natural riding and is shorter than the lite Alex

I was having a problem with my rear innertube puncturing the other day and couldn't understand why its one of those monty 19" by 2.6 inner tubes and i would expect it to be holding up much better than it was when i took the tyre off i saw the inner tube was a thin cheng shin 20" x 2.125 is this monty just trying to rip people off charging a few extra quid for an inner tube that isn't designed to fit a wide tyre or can the spanish not count or sumthing??

angle grind the hell out of it!!! but if you'r planning on keeping it in one piece get hold of a freewheel tool, there must be some bike shop nearby which has them

mate i would really recommend switching to front freewheel, may cost a bit but it gives you a decent gear ratio speaking about freewheels id say go for a tensile but if you've got the cash you cant go wrong with an eno either way stay away from dicta's...mine lasted a record of 5 skiphops!
