I went out riding trials for the first time in years and thought I'd share how great I thought it was and see if anyone else rode southend and knew of some spots to ride. Comes under trials? If I was telling Irish jokes then fair play, but I'm not (yet) so jog on

Been a long time, but me and a old school mate went for a trials ride around town. Well impressed that I managed after a few attempts to bashguard up a 5 foot wall, however jumping down a kerb at speed the chain slipped and my knee said hello to my stem. Ahhhhhhh pain this morning going to work. Must get again, but finding Southend a bit flat these days. Where are the abandoned cars?

What a f*cking waste of police time and money having to deal with your stupid low life arse. I agree the Police are sometimes twats and I should know as my ex's boyfriends one and he tries to act the hardman hiding behind his badge, but at the end of the day I'd rather not have to see stupid kids drinking and smoking on the street. Then again if the police are busy busting your sad arse then they won't be hassling trials riders for riding.

As a 27 year old I saw the original movie back in the eighties! I had high expectations as the films been in the pipe line for the last ten years or so. Rights were bought, but then never used and noboday knew who owned what and then finally Don Murphy (one of the guys behind xmen) says him and spielberg are working on a live action film! Don Murphy then set up a board online asking what characters we wanted and other things. Months passed and it emerged Megatron was going to be a tank...... Lots of flaming happend and then their was an announcment along the lines of 'This film is not about keeping the old fans happy, it's about making a film for a global audience that may not of heard of transformers before'. Then there was the petion to get the original guys to do the voices which half worked as peter cullen got to do Prime, but why did they get Hugo weaving (agent smith) for megatron when Frank welker was available? Yeah I know far too much and I gave alot of input on the boards to Don, so I feel cheated slightly as the film is completely different from the cartoon I grew up with. Prime has a mouth!!! Anyway watched this the weekend and as a money making bay machine this films not a bad no brainer action flick. Storys hmmm, and the ending batle was very weak, but plenty of nice cars, a hot chick, robots, guns and explosions to keep me happy for the two hours. Had difficulty in working out who was fighting who as the action was rather to fast and the camera angles could of been better, but the film could of been alot worse. Lets hope the follow up gets an even bigger director + budget. I'll shut up now :0)

Well due to my wonderful solicitors adding a additional £400 that wasnt on my qoute for moving fees I can't afford a new frame (or even a used one). Thinking I might aswell have the t raptor sprayed up to look new seeing as I've spent out on new bits it seems a shame to put it on a rather naff battered looking onza. Place near me charges £45, but I noticed doing a search some of you have paid half that. So can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers guys

They built one in Shoebury ages ago, but it was utter rubbish and right in the middle of the ghetto. Joe Maher used it to pull the local wildlife I think the problem is these sorts of things end up in places which are a bit out of the way. I think they need to do something near a town centre + train station for those that don't drive. Also in a busy area it's less likely to become full of chavs sitting around smoking drugs. I'd be happy with a decent skatepark (concrete bowls), but if you can get a trials place

When I first started trials (1997) there was loads of us and you would have a group of 15+ riders and the Police were always after us. Once a group of us got chased by a police car, flashing lights and all! We chucked the bikes over a wall and escaped only to run into it a few roads later. "What you up to lads?" so we said fair cop you got us for riding on the pavement and the copper gave a cheeky grin and said "We've got better things to do than arrrest you" and they drove off. Every friday night the southend riders would train it to Basildon and hang out with the basildon lot and once again we get chased by the police lol. I have to say I vanish now as soon as I see police as I'm a bit older and could do with out a trip to court. People that have to come have a moan really annoy me as if I was smashing up a phone box with a bat they wouldn't dare approach so why do they feel the need to come and have a go because I'm riding on the street?

UPDATE Seller got back to me saying that the dealer I asked (My mate) knows nothing and this is a geniune giant trials frame and I should of not bid (I agree) blah, blah, blah but will let me off I don't have to buy it YAY. I just said I'd never seen one before and having shown it to peps is it a mod bike? I apologised even though his email was rather anal. Anyone can sell Giant these days, not like they are fussy about who they deal with. Anyway sorted and thanks for anyone that took time to post

Giant like many other companies often just get frames from a cheap factory overseas and stick their name on it. Nothing to say they just didnt have a random frame, sticker it up and then paint it just to see what it looked like. No way on earth is this a production bike as someone would of seen one. It's to a risky a buy for me, but if you want to buy it instead of me I can forward your details as I'm deff not paying for it. And yes I should of read the description more closely, but the link came from the famous Basildon lad Leon, but on bending his ear about it he admitted he to just skimmed over the page lol. Let me know if you want it as I'm sure the seller Won't care where the money comes from.
