  1. Same here, he's a competition rider which takes more stamina usually to participate in. If his bike is lighter then he won't get as tired as quickly.
  2. In the last pic, Stan looks like he needs a shit...
  3. I was thinking exactly the same thing
  4. They won't. This is what people are complaining about, they don't take care of them then they mess up their cranks. As for the orbita cranks, they are probably the works cranks in existence.
  5. But still, it looks like is 45*200
  6. To be honest I think its just people not maintaining them properly. Mine have been fine, I just regularly check them. Never had any problems.
  7. I know its personal preference but, isn't that stem a little high and long?
  8. Thats nothing to do with the strength of it. I could kill some koxx rims in a day if I wanted to be un-smooth, but I'm not a harsh rider. Understand what I'm getting at?
  9. This was set up on an echo '07 rim with a medium/light grind (starting to get a bit worn). They seem really really bitey pads, probably at par with my coustsinks on the same set up. The hold is ok, but it's nothing special really, they will slip a bit when on the corner of a wall, but not many pads won't slip there. You can't notice them slip when your gapping. In the wet, they work ok, not great but better than I expected. The wear rate isn't the best, but not too bad, They lasted me a good 4 months. To be honest, I wouldn't use them again, there are pads that are much better for the same price or less.
  10. Yeah and? Just because two people broke a t-pro doesn't mean they're too weak for a beginner.
  11. Right, I would run away from all the replies your shortly going to get saying 'NO SELLING IN NMC' Theres a topic at the top of new members chat called 'mikes guide to validation' or something like that, have a read of it and get an idea of what you can do and what you can't. But some people on here don't allow for mistakes, so I'm just warning you
  12. Sorry to say, but your wrong. t-pro's aren't weak. Yeah people can crack them, but thats like saying any frame is shit because someone has cracked theirs. Tra was riding that cracked coust, does that mean its a shit frame? no.
  13. Straight arms when bouncing on the back wheel generally isn't the best position to have. I never like to have my legs/arms straight because it doesn't seem as relaxed, it also makes it feel hard to control the bike. When side-hopping you need to kick at the pedals, otherwise your going to end up going backwards too. Ok, fair enough this is telling people a way to get onto the back wheel but maybe telling them a better position would be more helpfull?
  14. The seals will be fine if you don't put too much anti-freeze in.
  15. Magura HS33's come with mineral oil. Hope disc brakes and such come with dot fluid.
  16. Another easy method which is just as clean is to; Undo the bleed bolts, Attach a tube and barbed fitting to the slave cylinder, Get a syringe (preferably a large one) and fill it with water, Attach this to the tube at the slave and push the water through, Just before all the water in the syringe has been pumped through stop and put your finger tight over the bleeding hole (don't know what else to call it) at the lever end, Then remove the syringe and fill it back up with water and attach it back on, Remove your finger off the lever end and carry on pumping water through, When you've pumped a fair amount through put your finger over the bleeding hole and hold tight, Remove the barbed fitting and tube from the slave and put in the bolt, Then remove your finger from the lever and put the bolt in. You will now have perfect brakes.
  17. This may not be true, but dot fluid does damage to paint work and dissolves it a bit, so maybe this means it will be more likely to damage the seals compared to water. Don't know if its true though.
  18. I don't agree. Tunni is still going bigger than before. Still getting smoother. Still got great style.
  19. Well then you can buy the adapters to convert your frame to accept vee brakes? Vee's are alot simpler and easier to maintain. So for a first bike they are ideal
  20. I don't quite understand why everyone seems to think that vee brakes aren't good. I've used some and they were fine. You just have to have a decent set of pads on a grind. For example plazmatic CRV's on a light grind, heatsink vee backings with coust material on a light grind. I'd recommend getting the proper vee backings instead of the vee adapters because the adapters let the pad roll a fair ammount and causes rounded edges on the pads. I'd say go for the t-vee, if you mess up the rear rim just buy a front echo 07 rim. This is still plenty wide enough and is super strong.
  21. wiggle I'd say this bottom bracket is stronger than the one 'mr?' suggested (no offence meant by that). These bottom brackets always seem to have pretty good bearings and have a pretty strong axle.
