I came up with this idea ok (you know were you heard it first). It sounds like the most stupidest idea in the world. but try it. Trust me. Get an old bit of paper. e.g. an envelope. Wrap it around the grip and grip tightly and pull/twist the grip. it should slowly slide off. Please note: I've never tried this with foam grips.
