  1. You should keep the best bits of each bike. Obviously, we can't tell you what the best bits are until you tell us what bits you have.
  2. Extra lol-points for it being the same OP.
  3. One time, I made a thread, called 'small mechanical questions'. Perfect for 'which way to I undo a bottom bracket? How do I I stop my chain from slipping? My brake is toss, how do I fix it?' But alas, it didn't take off.
  4. I just in general dislike dumb people. I do however enjoy the feeling that some retard might read this and think 'awww, he means me. ' The positive side of this is that smart people will not be offended because they are smart, and dumb people won't realise that I mean them, so no-one gets hurt.
  5. Score, now hopefully it's worked properly and it'll all fit.
  6. With an online calculator, you should be able to put in the ERD, spoke count and flange diameter and get an answer?
  7. Neil T is a machine and as such gets special rules, which in this case means if he snapped it, it doesn't mean an ordinary rider will.
  8. Haha, I love how it looks like old NES game sort of styled. More of that!
  9. That's the right attitude... I like green and purple!
  10. You don't need a DVD, everything is available over the internet on... Trash-zen.com! But if you want to get a DVD, I recommend Ryan Leech's Art of Trials.

The trouble with me is I go to a place and shit bricks at how many lines there are, and then get annoyed because I can't do them.

TGS riders don't have fun because they COULD do lines but don't. When someone doesn't do rolly spinny moves, but does prefer riding lines, I call that proper trials. To be honest, everyone does TGS, everyone looks at a gap between two walls and wonders if they could do it, but only people without imagination limit themselves to that kind of stuff. The cool part of trials is, 'I'll go to that thing, and then see if I can get onto that next thing from there.'

TGS means Tap Gap and Sidehops, and refers to some rider's preference of finding locations where they can do each move individually to see how high or far they can do it. It's also effectively a style of trials or approach that brings its own dress code and style of video, and desire to queue up and sidehop walls for a whole ride.

This is true. I can sidehop about 3 pallets. I can tap probably 5 pallets maybe. Pedal-up and bunnyhop about the same. And I can gap... just over wheelbase on a good day. I can do one cool thing which is a 180 pedal-up.
  15. People can't even be bothered to pay for films and music...

9 pallets is big! I remember there being a video of a guy doing 10 pallets and everyone was like SICK and then other people said, 'Er, his rear wheel was only half on that pallet, it's 9 1/2.' Big for sidehops, I missed that out.
  17. The forum shits on any potential magazine, purely on speed and ease of access to new information. Even if an e-magazine was produced in PDF format or something, it would be slower than this forum. The fact that trials is so small that ALL of the information you'd get in the magazine would be on here before the magazine issue was completed means there wouldn't be any reason to read it.
  18. Get a block of wood, small enough to fit in a vice. Drill a hole in it the diameter of the magura hose. Cut it in half so you have two semicircle parts. Clamp the hose in these blocks. Hammer barbed fitting into the hose. Job done.
  19. In 10 years time, I'll be 31, and hopefully own a car like a VW corrado or a BMW 318 or something cool like that. As for anything else...
  20. I'm in for monday. Also I'm rubbish at trials.
  21. 1) Nitromors will do it very slowly. Anodizing on frames is pretty permanent, you can get it off with caustic soda or oven cleaner, but be careful and be prepared to spend a long time doing it. 2) You should not do this, because of the heating issue, but I seem to recall it won't destroy your seals in a magura brake.
  22. It's not going to work, buddy. Best thing you can do is enjoy the bmx as it is, or use it to practice bunnyhops.
