Dont go anywhere near tar!! Theres no point mate!! Grinds are definately the best because they offer more grip for the pads e.g. like when youre riding a comp and the weathers shite, youll need a grind or better pads do give the rim grip. Sometimes pads dont grip well in the rain so people add a grind and the pad finds grip and stopps you quicker and easilier. Tar is used for making roads mate and can make you're rim grip TOO MUCH and say when you're doing a drop off and youre pad sticks, you'll be in pain. So definatley get a grind or better pads which are specific for smooth rims. Tar is ust a big f**k up and the takes the mick to get off. Thanks Oli Rockpad greens are what I'm running at the moment on a light grind and they work MINT In all weathers. Check out the pad reviews for more help!!

I do stuff like that all the time. Like in the garden just experiment on breeze blocks since theres nowt else to do

Why do u put tar on in the first place yeah!! it makes the brakes stick more but, tar was made to put on roads.. Give it a light grind or snad it down (which takes the piss and takes half your rim away)

Naaaa I dont like it. The ones on tarty look better , bright pink and green stuff like that looks better.

Used to go and watch my dad ride moto trials for the local club and I saw the odd guy or girl hopping up stuff, but when i saw someone else do it it looked really hard and I wanted to do it and now 8 months on Im hell of alot better than the guys are saw... Oh yer and Id just like to say about this guy i know, right hes a proppa badass got expelled from school and so on and when he used to come home from school hed just be a gay and like piss around on streets, causing mischief and that. But for his birthday his mum got him a cycle trials and like its changed his life (sounds dumb but it propper has) totally has, all he thinks about is trials, wouldnt even dare do mischief or owt cause trials is amazing. So when he comes home gets dressed and hes off out on thee bike. oli

Im not that fussed what time i ride really, aslong theres not aload of people, like when you ride town and evryones just there waatchin, feels wierd. But I could imagine early morning rides chavless and peaceful have to try it if i can be arsed waking up... oli

First!! Learn to balance, practice getting the front end up , hopping or rocking (basic balancing), learn how to control the bike with braking etc etc But all you need to do really is watch some vids ( The ryan leech ones are the best or visit www.trashzen.com ) and just keep on trying, Cos practice makes perfect mate oli xx

Right I know this is completely off the point but I read in an other forum off people bleeding with WD40, so yeah! i give it a go and its alright, same feel as maguras oil, to mee. But yupp alot more people run water cause its free and its a better feel!! I'll be on water next, no point paying for it, ehh?? Oli xxxx
