  1. Awesome! Glad he's got it now. Massive thank you for putting it all together and shipping it off to him for us! It is Dave right? :$ Anyway thank you
  2. Nah, I think most of us thought it was a joke. Well I did anyway. Although in my heart of hearts I wanted to belive it to be real. Not that I could afford one though...
  3. Check this place for your bikes: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk. Easily the best place in the UK to buy the gear from. (If you're from here) £500 budget is a good place to start, I got my first 20" for about £400 new, and it was a belter, so have a look around on Tarty. Obviously it'll make a huge difference if you go second hand as well. In regards to brakes, there is a massive argument as to which is better but a good set-up is key to most of it. I've personally run hydraulics for all of my bikes and I've never had a single problem, but other people run into loads of problems and go to vee's. And vice-versa. If you're used to one more than the other then I'd stay with them. But if you like the idea of going for a different setup then do it. Obviously I can't comment on what vee's are like trials-wise so I'll leave that up to someone else, but hydraulic Magura/Echo and the likes are brilliant... oh and brake pads can make or break it (no pun intended). Hight wise, it might be worth trying one out (if you can). Where abouts are you from? There's loads of members on here so I'm sure one will be near you? Other than that I've ridden with/seen loads of guys/girls riding 20" wheel's and they've been +10-15cm taller than me. I'm 173cm. Sorry if this has confused you more. :$
  4. What 'eskimo' said, and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of practise!
  5. The normal 'spawn point change' is; you have to sleep in a bed you made I believe, but I haven't been on in aaaaaages.
  6. Sorry to bug you dude but how's this going, you got much further with it? So much kudos for you for doing this.
  7. Why thank you. It's taken me ages to get almost exactly how I want it. Just need forks, front wheel, and pedals...
  8. Having been on here for an age, I have finally got round to uploading a few pics and to stop being a TF voyeur... ...What do we think? (I do have some higer res. pics but these'll do for now )
  9. It's brilliant how stuff like this gets turned in to a north/south divide... by the way, I'm from the north so that card doesnt really work with me. Just the belittling of what has actually happened, "a bit of wind and rain"... oh well...
  10. By "grim" I assume you mean complete destruction of property by water damage right? And 100mph+ wind in some areas...
  11. My fiancee is at Aberystwyth which got hit pretty bad last time round, and is getting a beating tonight again. She lives on the seafront as well so it's touch-and-go most of the time as to whether she stays in that house or not. Other than that I'm getting an hour or two of just about ridable weather every other day so gotta make the most of it I suppose...
  12. So, seeing as we don't have one... Has anyone been watching? Any new sports/disciplines you've got into? For some REALLY odd reason I got into Curling last time round, not my sort of thing but I plan on watching it again this year... And of course the actual decent spectator sports; Snowboarding; Skiing; etc. Discuss... ...or not. Also GO TEAM GB! ahem... I'll go hide in a corner now
  13. Easily the worst part of any going to ANY skatepark/jumps...
