Being able to bunny hop high is all about practicing to do the move and getting better and higher at doing it. A trials specific frame will make it a lot easyer to do trials on. A mountain bike or the such, You can learn basic moves on but it wont be anywhere near as good as a trials bike will be. Also running trials specific forks will make it easyer but they are not as essential.

You will be best off saving your money for a while and buying a new or second hand bike which already has a 19" back wheel on it. That way it will upgrade pretty much everything on the bike and it will be much easyer. It could possibly have magura brakes on it aswel if it is second hand and that is always a bonus

A Kona isnt a trials specific bike, But it will get you started. You will probably want to invest into a trials specific bike though once you learn to back hop and the such. The best way for you to get better is to just get out as much as possible and try and copy your mates that already ride. Just watch them and you will learn what to do slowly.
