  1. Peacocks is definitely on par with shoezone.. If a guy bought me stuff from peacocks for xmas I wouldn't be very happy. If a guy bought me stuff from peacocks in general, I wouldn't be very happy.
  2. I've just joined as a SC as a way to see if I can cut is as a cop and hopefully get in as a regular. Getting past the application stage is the easy bit. Basically, if you have some qualifications and can blab a bit about why you wanna join/why you're good enough etc then chances are you'll get called back to the police initiation recruitment test. If you can count and have a good grasp of the english language and grammar and that then you should pass the PIRT easily and then get called for an interview - that's the first tough bit. The interview is all structured so brush up on the definitions of integrity, resiliance, race and diveristy etc.. you'll need to be able to give examples of how you've handled situations. In the interview keep PC and don't name names. I gained bonus points for talking of a well-known shoplifter but not mentioning their name. Also, if you don't know the answer, don't try blag it as because it's the police, they'd appreciate your honesty of saying "Sorry I cannot answer the question as I've never been in that situation" rather than listen to you try make up a scenario. If you pass the interview then for regulars I think you have to go on to do a physical and medical, but as a SC I skip physical for some reason and medical was just eye-test and medical history. Feel free to PM me bout it all if you want
  3. Had 8 hours of lessons and got my test on Saturday. Would say I've got about a 80% chance of passing but I've been driving my own car with the 'rents since September so have some bad habits I need to try hide!
  4. Got a reason to never get out of bed again (electric blanket), some smelly stuff from lush and some jewellery. I bought the family a wii so we've been playing that a fair bit which has been a giggle =)
  5. Just woke up. Weather look pretty nice! Gonna grab a shower then check this thread again ina bit then decide whether to take bike down or not
  6. If the weather looks ok I'll bring bike down =) not meeting mate til after 4pm so got loads of time.
  7. Sponge, what are you talking about? Nimbus Trials uni - £168. That's the cheapest trials unicycle I'd recommend. The Isis hub means that it's compatible with KH moment, Onza Tensile and other Isis cranks (except for K1 "isis") so there's an easy upgrade if you need one. The frame is like a tank, you won't break it. The rim you probably will break at some point, but everyone breaks rims. Same goes for the seatpost, but just buy a crmo one and you're good to go. And about not being able to sell it on... loads of people are always looking for a nice cheap trials uni to try out after they've learnt to ride on their £50 learner unis. It's people like Sponge that are struggling to sell their "amazing PRO equipment" because it's outdated (noone rides profile on unicycles anymore) and people would rather buy new KH or K1 isis stuff.
  8. I'm in Plymouth anyways so may find you guys for a bit. Edit: In Plymouth, but haven't brought my bike with me.
  9. This isn't a girl trouble, just reminded me of someones girl troubles from a while back which made me laugh. ---- says (19:38): i feel sick ---- says (19:38): im paranoid ---- says (19:39): i keep thinking im preggers ---- says (19:39): but i havent slept with him --- says (19:40): im thinking if he has cum on his finger... ---- says (19:40): add it up
  10. Passed my theory last week first time. Not had any lessons yet but wanna get started soon.
  11. Adrien's frontflip is awesome, so gutted I missed it live.. Jas landed a 720?! Sounds like he's got a wee bit better since I last saw him!
  12. Yeah, from there. I ride for Kris, the new 08 stuff he's bringing out is sweet. I ride my bike more often nowadays too though.. kinda go through stages of just uni, then stages of just bike. Looking foreard to some vids from you, your uni vids were always a good watch.
  13. Hey Greg, welcome to the forum. Liking the bike! Cool to see you're into bike trials now. You still riding the uni? (Complete guess, but I'm hoping this is the same Greg Irvine) Amanda
  14. I didn't tell Tesco I don't have balls. edit: oops, I did tell them edit2: uh oh. I did wonder why he had taken the lock off the spare room's door.
  15. Tesco quoted me £650 for a 1.2 corsa.
  16. ouch! Two weeks before the worlds too... must be gutted.
  17. That was pretty awesome, Rich. Watched it a fair few times now, even got that song stuck in my head though the music was fairly awful.

    Beau

Met Beau at a Bristol ride. Was a really talkative, funny lad. Such a shock to hear he's gone. RIP Beau
  20. Or you could try unicycle.co.uk for a KH rim. I don't think Tarty stock them, but I'd recommend them. Both my 19" and 24" KH rims are holding up well.
  21. I'm not a lad, but I play football and have done since as long as I remember. I support Celtic. I grew up in Glasgow, so it was either Celtic or Rangers and well Rangers are scum so it was an easy choice. I play for my college. I don't think I'm too good, but for a girl, I guess I am. I was just starting up with Exeter City LFC before I ended up needing ankle surgery cos I had footballers ankle... After the 1998 world cup, I played in a pre-match display at Hampdem Park before a Scotland vs. France game
