  1. Just logged in here after taking a break from trials for 2/3 years. Delighted and amazed to see some old screennames still active and posting here
  2. Hey Muel, Try BitRipper or DVDx Open Edition
  3. I had the same problem in my old Mondeo. After 3 weeks in the garage, the mechanic said it was the turbo, but I got a neighbour to look at it. It was a circlip missing on the throttle cable. That was it. 5 cent worth of a circlip after 3 weeks in a garage! Have a look in the engine bay and check to see if the throttle cable is sticking. That doesn't explain the knocking sound though, so I'm no help on that front. Steve
  4. Try pixmania.com Have bought digital cameras for family there. They're pretty reasonable and quick. Make sure to check the item is actually in stock though. My mate ordered from them and had to wait 5 weeks for the item to come back in stock. Just something to look out for. Steve
  5. Try Dell *shudders* Link Plenty of colors there
  6. You're best off with the acer alright. The amount of shitty software that HP put on their laptops is cruel.
  7. Should do you fine. My mate has it and handles photoshop files of over 200mb no hassle. He has been know to do photoshop renderings up to 1 gb in size. linky Steve
  8. Adebisi Shank- Colin Youtube Video -> Original Video
  9. My mate said when he was leaving school one of his classmates came in really early on the last day and welded the gates into the school shut. Annoyed the f**k out the teachers arriving for school! haha
  10. Google it? Do a bit of research yourself on RC cars.
  11. Don't know Marin DH bikes but if the rear spacing between the chainstays is 135mm, then I don't see why it wouldn't fit. Steve
  12. I know nothing about ghetto blasters but you could just buy a discman and use a line in or one of those mp3 radio transmitters. I know its more stuff to carry and batteries, but it would work. Looked at that link, it looks awesome! That guy seems to have a good few for sale so you could email him and ask about replicas with a cd player. Steve EDIT: I remember a mate of mine had a JVC Kaboom? i think it was. Not quite as ghetto but it definitely had a CD player
  13. Not sure about the Inspired but there is a MK3 of the 24UK. But unfortunately there are all snapped up already. Steve
  14. How long are the semesters in the uni you're going to? Check the uni's website for the academic calendar and work from there. You'd want to probably move in the week before you start and move out the week after your exams. All depends on your uni really so we can't tell you a specific length of time. Take into account that there will be a break for Christmas as well. Steve
  15. I have been struggling with the Mac vs PC problem for a while now. I have a Dell laptop at the moment but it's three years old so I'm looking to upgrade as well. I tend to run very intensive programs at the same time. At anyone one time I could be running Vectorworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketchup. My Dell seems to handle it well. However, others in my class have newer Dells and they are having serious problems running even one intensive program at a time. Dells build quality does seem to be a little hit and miss. I think I was lucky to get a good build. It's not an amazing spec but seems to just be more stable than newer machines. I just don't think I would buy a Dell again after friends have had motherboards fry, harddrives stop working and have programs crash the whole time. I have looked at Mac's and tried them. At first I loved Macs. They're more stable, easier to use (after getting used to the changeover from PC), less susceptible to viruses and look good. But I've come to the conclusion that you can get a lot better spec for the money by looking elsewhere. I know some people swear by their Mac's but I feel that you can get a much more powerful machine for your money. The solution I have come up with for myself is, keep my Dell laptop and maybe just upgrade a few parts and get myself an Alienware Desktop For example *AMD Phenom™ II X4 925 2.8GHz Quad-Core (4x 512MB L2, 6MB L3 Cache) *Single 2GB GDDR5 ATI® Radeon® HD 4870 X2 *4GB« Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 4 x 1024MB *Alienware® Approved AMD® 790FX Motherboard *Windows Vista® Home Premium with Service Pack 1 *750GB SATA 3Gb/s 7,200RPM 16MB Cache *20X Dual Layer Burner (DVD±RW) w/ LightScribe *Single High Performance Gigabit Ethernet Port *High-Definition 7.1 Performance Audio - Standard *23" Dell S2309W - 1920 x 1080 (5ms) Widescreen Flat Panel * Standard Keyboard *Standard Optical 3-Button Mouse with Scroll Wheel *1-Year Warranty with AlienCare Onsite Service and 24/7 Toll-Free Phone Support Price: $1,878.00 or 1,180.17 GBP Hope this helps some bit anyway. Steve
  16. Marino frames are made in Peru. They are custom steel frames so you can order it in whatever geo suits you. There are a few people on the forum with Marino frames and the frames are getting good reviews. Shipping isn't too bad considering it has to come from Peru. Custom frames are $120 and shipping is $65-105. If you know someone else looking for a new frame, if they got a Marino frame you could split the shipping. Hope this helps dude Steve EDIT: heres the link to the Marino bikes website. LINK
  17. "The Young Crazed Peeling"- The Distillers
  18. My cocker spaniel, Holly. My brothers, Ivy.
  19. Yep, it's a tube amp. I don't like Fender amps generally. More into Marshalls. But my mate has an original Bassman and it sounds amazing! I'm trying to build it as close to original as possible. There will be two 6L6 tubes and two 12AY7 tubes. Going to build it head and cabinet rather than combo as a 4x10 combo would be pretty difficult to move around. Will post up some pics whenever I start it Waiting on some cash monies at the moment. EDIT: This is what my mates on sounds like. Listen to 'Anonymous Slander.' Steve
  20. Just wondering are there any views on the Fender 5F6A Bassman amp? I'm going to build my own replica amp over the summer. Any thoughts by people who have played this amp? Cheers, Steve
  21. I was watching it for a while but got bored cos I don't understand it!
  22. Didn't know that. Did a quick google and pressing F11 on startup brings you into the recovery facility on PB machines. However, you only 0.7 of a second to press it so you will need to restart your computer a few times. Or you might be lucky on the first go!
