  1. Also, if anyone is from West Midlands way, a new bouldering wall has opened in West Brom. www.bouldercentral.co.uk
  2. if you have a suitably strong door frame do pull ups on it. when you can do 7 pull ups add a kg or so, or drop a finger from each hand, so hang front 3 or back 3. in fact, see here http://www.beastmaker.co.uk/pages/training
  3. Stone Cutting for me. edit: If you are buying a grinder to do your rims you do not need metabo or dewalt or bosch or makita etc. Argos own brand will be fine
  4. Yea I see your point JD, providing theres no seriously steep terrain I think you would be surprised at how close personal times were geared and not geared. What do you think? @Zeromatt - How do you mean, not using a brake will screw you up?
  5. I'm with glen, I ride fixed. I assume all you guys who are telling me and Glen that were wrong ride serious road and fixed, yes. I thought so... Time Trials = fastest time from point to point, lots of people will ride this fixed obv. dependent on the course. The advantage to fixed is a much lighter bike, and the benefits you receive when you get onto a hill (incline). I haven't read all the posts; it appears you all know what you're talking about. I agree, there's a reason the TdF is done on gears, Because it's a marathon and it would be silly to try and ride that far fixed. If you go to just a hill climb event however everyone will ride fixed. < 30 miles, fixed will probably give the same rider a faster time. Edit: there's a lot of hating on this forum.
  6. Yea Yea Yea, But that was the Badger! Awesome day, thanks to everyone who came!
  7. Yea, thats a f**ker. get tickets; take her. It will be a nuts night..
  8. Anyone heading down I can tag along with?
  9. Quit for a while. You will come back to trials if you enjoyed it enough in the first place. In the mean time, by a fixed gear and hit up the miles.

  11. I'm running plazmatics at the moment, there epic pads. What does with the new metal backings, if I don't set it up 100% square with the rim as tarty indicates is it going to foul up my magura pistons?
  12. Hey buddy, do you remember me, I was ridin the paint stripped zona. Do you have that video footage you took towards the end of the day? ta

  14. there might be a few people out. I'll be out later ( 4 ish) but bedford is a craphole for ridin.
  15. Yes yes Joel. whats cracking. I'm excited to ride London, I'll see you tomorrow night with joe at like 7ish.... you done your bashring yet? Leeson was ridin a 24 with the skankiest back brake in the world (black pads) last time I saw him. Also, Where are these rocks Mr Rankin speaks of?
  16. You can't really separate them. If you want to ride with style you need to be able to send big objects, when you get onto smaller ones you can make it 'stylish or smooth' w/e. I see no point to go out and ride with the paramount on style. If I'm out, it's all about getting up! I don't care how smooth it is. edit: manuals post sums it up. edit2: style is for tamps.
  17. Who is this guy on the mod, he took some video footage of me, I would like to see it!
