  1. Are the complete bikes out then? Im desparate for the Effect 24"
  2. I was running: Avid Single Digit Ti arms, SD5 lever, Onza V-daptors, Atomz yellow pads (smooth rim) no booster until i decided i wanted to sell my bike. Very stiff and power plenty, no need to run a booster
  3. Looked like a good display, really wanted to go, unforutunately i had to work . The 24" is looking sweet though
  4. lol, Ross you're in one of Dumfries' local newspapers
  5. Best Chilled out Atmosphere- Tartybikes Summer Air Best 24"- Danny Mac April 2009 Best 26"- Rowan Johns, Sleeping in the Ditch (brakeless)
  6. With mechanical disc brakes, you need to make sure the caliper is set up straight. Or else you get a spongey feeling, not the on/off power you are looking for. When i bed in disc brakes, i drag them on for a bit then spray some water on the disc then repeat about 10 times until it becomes fairly grabby. This way, you get a little bit of pad material on the disc at a time, which results in good all round braking power.
  7. I believe they were released in May. Frame only versions are just out now i think.
  8. Have a look at the new ashton/diamondback effect 24". Im going to buy one soon, its a reasonable price and spec at around £500.
  9. FFIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, just couldnt resist it
  10. nice pics there, liking the fifth one down especially
  11. A bit of everything for me, In Flames, Lamb of God, BFMV, to stuff like Air, Royksopp and Craig Armstrong.
  12. looks good, Ross, really makes a change to consistantly seeing Fourplays and 24UK's, I think the 24" concept is really going to boom next year
  13. Yeah but not in disc only, which is what im looking for
  14. Im looking to buy the new 26" Echo SL forks from tarty and i was just wondering if anyone is currently using them and if so what do yout think? I was originally going to buy the '09 Urbans but they dont have any in stock. What are the differences between the two (apart from the obvious weight difference and caliper mount). Would it be better to wait until the Urbans are in stock or just get the SL's?
  15. It was a bit weird, looked like a typical Friday night in Glasgow . Its good to see Danny in a different style of video, but the last few minutes of it looked rather like his current video with the traffic lights and all haha.
  16. This would also be good for modstock riders like me . I'd imagine this would sell really well as it is alot cheaper than a King but the quality is just as good. I think we should put together a vote then give the feedback to Hope and hopefully they will see the light and produce it.
  17. My current set up: Front: Hayes MX2 pish on 160 rotor. Soon to get Magura Louise/Julie on 180 or 200 rotor Rear: Onza vee with Atomz maggie pads using Onza vee-daptors Dan
  18. Ok sounds good, obviously nothing wrong with using it on a vee mount. Thanks guys. Dan
  19. Would I have to use a Vee brake booster or a 2 bolt Magura booster? Im running a 2.35 tyre on the rear, so it might have to be well set up. I could try to get some of the old Evo mounts my mate, assuming he still has his brake.
  20. A mate of mine who used to ride trials said to me that i could still put a HS33 on my bike even though it only has mounts for Vees. He said it would move about slightly and i may have to get a booster. Has anyone done this and if so, is it okay like that? I'd really like a maggie because my current vee is on its last legs. Any advice welcome. Dan
  21. Holy shit!! Being Deng, id expect them to be strong. The echo sl's are pretty much the only fork within my budget and Tarty currently dont have any Zoo forks with the disc mounts, just 4 bolt. Its the weight im more concerned about, though. What are the urbans like? Ive heard they are quite flexy too. I dont do fairly big stuff, infact, i cant even hook properly and i dont tap often, i just go straight to rear wheel. Im not really a full on TGS rider, i do more street style moves. So what would be the decent fork for me? I only have about £80-£90 to play with so trialtehs are out of my reach. And obvoiusly, id like something that takes a bit of weight off the fron end as my poor arms are aching me.
  22. What forks are those, Ross? Looks like you guys had a great time.
  23. I've currently got Onza tuf guy forks and soon i'm getting Echo SL's, that will hopefully save about 300g but i just want to know what people think of them? Anyone had any problems with them? And are they flexy of quite stiff?
