  1. to be honest i think his inspired is quite nice actually.
  2. So yesterday, i bagged last 3 periods of school, and who can blame me because i was dying to to see the street trials master doing what he does best. This display was marking the start of the Original Bicycle Festival, which include various cycling events held here in Dumfries and Galloway. Danny had set up the rig in a rather small area but there was enough to keep the crowd happy. I've watched Danny for over a year both at shows and online. I got chatting to him between displays and he even let me have a go on his Inspired. He very kindly signed my copy of the 'Home' DVD in which he features. The display itself was fantastic, he just about set a new world record for the highest bunnyhop at 123cm, but just clipped the bar. He said he'd give it another go later in the year, so thats something to be looking out for. He also done a 10ft drop to flat and that was pretty impressive. So it wasn't a bad afternoon, better than being at school....
  3. This might be slightly off-topic but has anyone noticed that magazines like MBUK dont feature trials when they do a report on world cup/world champ events? They only seem to feature DH, 4X and XC. \I personally think there should be more coverage of top level trials comps.
  4. Is this up on Youtube at all? My computer doesnt seem to like Vimeo.
  5. Hey thanks every one. I do tend to visualise myself doing something bigger or even spotting a line i havent seen before and visualising myself doing it. Doesnt always work though. Still, i might as well get my arse off the computer right now and get out there and PRACTISE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE!
  6. Hi guys, ive been riding trials for almost a year, and im a fast learner, my riding has come on leaps and bounds. Now though, i cant seem to get anywhere with it. My XC riding has gone to the next level, getting tuition from a certain Clive Forth (of course i have been riding MTB for nearly 3 years) but i cant seem to push on with my trials riding. I think its the 'fear factor' i get when i try something bigger, i get the fear im going to mess it up somehow. I'd like to be able to tap/hook bigger walls and drop off them, but as i psych myself up for it, i back out at the last minute. I just came out of hospital over a month ago due to an MTB related accident, i think the fear of screwing up is holding me back. Please help me out because i would like to get my trials riding to another stage come summer when i'll be heading to places like Glasgow and Edinburgh to ride. Any riding tips especially for taps and/or hook-ups and general advice would be great. Dan Wright
  7. I watch a lot of trials vids but this is the best ive seen in a long time. I like the fact that your style is almost 'demo' like rather than the usual TGS stuff ive become bored with recently. Fantastic vid, the ending is inspired.
  8. I still ride trials during the winter, only when its not pissing it down or icy/frosty. I ride XC all year round though, i regularly go night riding at my local trail centre, its class. So much more of a challenge in the dark, my Hope lights are amazing, which really helps.
  9. Adamant A1 with bright orange rims, mono trials front brake, vee or hs33 on the rear, pro 2 trials hub...oh the list could go on!!
  10. He doesnt ride a trials bike atm, but he might be getting my onza spyrogyra when i get an adamant. I got into trials through watching the 7 stanes trials display team and watching danny mac. What a guy! I really like neil tunnicliffe's riding, very powerful and huge gaps. I dont quite have the strength for big moves like him, but im improving every day!
  11. yeah u totally ride an onza bird. STOP tellin fibs.
  12. I like to listen to a mix of indie and metal when riding. In Flames, Linkin Park, Chevelle, Metalica and Stone Sour all have good riding music. indie stuff like Muse, Ash, Kasabian is also music to my ears when riding lol
  13. Excellent vid, liked the fact that he tyre swapped almost every time.
  14. Someone tell the guy who walks on his hands to lay off the strong cheese at night!
  15. ODI Xtreme lock-on. Dont go for ruffians, they are rubbish in the wet.
  16. So its a bit like the MTB myth. Its harder to learn things and ride well on a full suss than a hardtail. Thanks for the advice guys, i'll stick with stock.
  17. I got my first trials bike about 6 months ago thinking that stock is the way to go and mod was for pussys. Now i think im regretting that. Whilst my ridings improving (i just sidehopped up a 1ft ish wall, not bad but not great) im kinda struggling with taps and hook ups. Should i have started on mod in the first place, or is it just practice? Seen as im only 14, mod would of been a good idea but i didnt like the look of them when i started. Im thinking about getting rid of my stock soon anyway, next bike will no doubt be a mod. Please help me, im in a state of confusion about what to do next. Dan
  18. Carlisle probs. Supposed to be good. Never ridden there, but mabye we could organise sumat. Im getting a bit tired of Dumfries......
  19. Ive seen ur vids of you on the mod and you're pretty damn good. If you think you've mastered mod then ride stock from now on. I started on stock, never ridden mod and now im kinda regretting it.... Wish i'd started on mod then i wouldnt find things so difficult.

Nice one mate. Lovin the black Inspired
  21. Bloody hell!! Im genuinely impressed. Im 14 and im nowhere near as good as you. Although ive only been riding trials for about 3 or 4 months. Im guessing mod is easier to start on. I ride stock and im finding moves a bit difficult. Keep it up mate!
