Richtey arms are okay. Shimano LX/Xt are a way better than Avids SD7/5. The best choice would be Avid Ultimate, but they cost a lot. I use Heatsink Coust pads for V. They work very well under every conditions. Wearing rate is 0. So once you spend the money and use them 4+ years...

maybe switch to V's? don't know much about maggies, I've used it when i began with trials, the always worked nice, but now I'm happy with my V's...

mostly chris king classic - angry bee sound and Coust pads + avid Ultimate arms. So no music at all. Once i rode with music i destroyed my mp3 player while tapping.

i'd recomend you those Echo Urban forks. Stiff and durable.

if you are runnig V in front i can recomend Cannodale's P-Bone or mayby a Fatty R. for sure control is an allround good fork though...
