  1. hey its like a clubpolo picnic at tf on here!
  2. im a full time homosexualist ghey im not, im a runner, bloody cool job, sit around in a staff room playin psp/watchin tele half the time. drive places to get equipment or take equipment the other half. get to see some cool places, we film all the campions league, and a shit load of other stuff.
  3. i wouldnt bother. thats not just me bein arsy, but with shops like game, and game station, independents really cant compete. id look into stuff you can get abroad and not over here that would sell, and get in touch with the manufacturers and see if you can become authd uk distributor.. the you just gotta sell it to the shops. writ to big companys etc. cause do you really wana be sellin games to muppets on the street or organisin transfers and shipping. much more money in that id say. and make sure you spell check everything like i do
  4. couldnt agree more! but tank rider.. why do you reccomend the akasa fans over papst! - papst are the bullocks! Was looking at work and The EVS's We use for all the champions league footy have papst fans - they must be the best! and if you want the ultimate edit machine dont ever buy a mac buy and EVS LSM! a snip at £80k - each
  5. i havent looked at monitors for a while, but i didnt know you could get 4ms ones? are you sure it isnt like 4/8ms? if it is then thats a 12ms. - either way, for viewing video id say CRT is better any day. and agree with the resolution comment above. id be worried about spending £40 on 1gb of ram - this will be generic for that price and wont work on some boards or maybe only single channel. i meant 2x512 sticks in dual channel slots - fast main ram and as many slower 1gb cards for backup as you can afford. some people rave about generic [unbranded] ram but it can be very very crap. i have found RAID to be very good for transfer/loading times. maxtor drives.. they usually are pretty reliable except the last one i had [160gb] developed a weird noise that seemed to stop when i scrolled my mouse - noone has been able to explain it but it was one of those brain drilling noises, that you didnt notice until it stopped. also i had forgotten case/psu - case really doesnt matter but if you have the space cheiftec dragon[i think] is pretty big very easy in terms of space etc great for putting extra drives in and psu wise id get one with a single 120mm fan. as they are much quieter. and if you decide when its running its too hot dont go litter your case with 4 or 5 cheap screaming 80mm fans, spend a bit more and get a couple of 120mm papst fans, theyre almost silent, move tonnes of air and last forever.
  6. if you are wanting to do video editing, infact anything other than word processing and internetting get a CRT monitor, a sony, or dell - 19'' im pretty sure dells are made by sony. you will save a hell of a lot here, and they are better, fact, for video/gaming you cannot beat a CRT, unless you are gonna spend silly money on a TFT with a desent response time also, id go with min of 1gb ram, and get 2x512 sticks [fast] matched to run dual channel and then you should in thory as long as u get a desent mobo be able to stick 2 cheaper slower 1gb sticks in at a later date if you need them and personally if your video editing, i wouldnt have a 74gb raptor and some 300s. id get 2x74s in raid 0 and a good dvd writer / ram as for cooling, it depends if you can cope with a jet engine on your desk. personally for a first build id leave the water! but the vapo chill coolers do work Very well for passive finally, i would spend a reasonable amount on a gfx card cause you will probably regret it otherwise. cause with a machine thats that good you want to be able to play a few games. my 2p
  7. mark 3 polo. g40, with an eaton charger.. an easy 189bhp at the wheels, 750kg car 1.3 engine = subaru eating - mmm
  8. hmm can anyone on here drive?! i need to lose weight. + ride my bike instead of sitting on forums. some boom boom would be nice too, but i asked for that for christmas and never got any
  9. pinky@shitbmx... why ever would you want steves squareback, get a G G-smiles:)
  10. phwoar, if they were 400 id go get one, i just think 645 is a bit steep like. considerin all the drivetrain looks to be unbranded. would be nice to do one up, nice wheels, desent gearing/cranks etc. or is it just me that thinks that hahaha. ah well, really missing having money since i bought the bloody house.
  11. as in the title, my mate found them, they look cool, anyone tried one, opinions, are they worth the £650 price tag.. i have some spare moula... http://www.kmxkarts.co.uk/

    Overclocking

id say im reasonable at it, i understand how it should work, but thats when it gets tricky, things randomlyturn off and i seem to get the bsod a lot. in my experience unless you are spending lots on watercooling the benefits are really not that noticeable cause you cant really do that much with stock cooling and even with more fans, you would do far better imo just leaving it. it will shorten the life of components if you push them too much, and if your unlucky your mobo and chip will actually set on fire, like my mates did last week. or just die on you. i personally think its a bit pointless especially when you have a comp the spec of yours. im running a dfi mobo 754, a64 3200+ [clawhammer], 1gb 3200 corsair xms, 2x120gb sata barracudas raid0.. and i can comfortably oc the clockspeed from 200mhz to 220, but dont notice a gain to make it worthwile the random crashes. i have been very impressed with the hdd setup though, 2 barracudas in r0 ar bloody fast! and dont use those terrible windows based overclocking tools, they are just bad news, if your going to do it, do it properly in the bios. much safer imo, and atleast by learning how to do it in the bios you should understand how it all works, and what each setting does instead of just dragging a silde bar to ''uber turbo''

    Im Worried

depending on how good folks are at computers i tend to put mine in c:\WINDOWS\Data - they will never hunt through there cause they dont get past the 'these files are hidden, this folder contains files that keep your system running yada yada. screen. that was until i got a 'Play Station Porn' bloody genuis, 1gb is enough for me, cause most vids arent any higher than the res on that.
  18. ah that must be where the problem is, i was looking at cheap ish ones, but race face, dont seem to them anymore and iv always have raceface. ow
  19. ok so i havent ridden or looked at bikes/bits/technology for a good year. it doesnt seem all that long ago to me, but now when i come to build up an attempt at a reasonable bike i have 5 bolt CD bashring/middleburn ring and wheres 5bolt gone! it has totally disappeared off the planted from what i can see. all the major sites, crc, wiggle etc have nothing 5 bolt. i personally liked 5 bolt as i could see no advantage of having 4 so always plumped for 5 cause i think it looks nicer! can someone fill me in on whats happened to it, and if anyone has some chhheeeap 5bolt cranks, i need! currie [not ridden for 1 - 1 1/2 years]
