  1. Drawing in autocad: 1 hour - ish Coding the NC code: 2 hours - ish Machine cutting: 2 hours, cos I was very conservative on feeds and speeds, wasn't really sure what the machine/cutter could cope with. Yea Dave MDF but only for the test run. The real thing is 6082 T6 aluminium. Its on my bike now, and I've given it a few bashes Holding up well
  2. Thanks all Like I say its my 1st design, and there are sure to be others I'm still learning CNC programming etc so its a bit of a test each time. I will be using this one on my bike though
  3. Nope, just accurate measurements and NC code
  4. Hehe thanks I would do one for burns, but I don't have one to take the measurements of their weird spline. If you have an old or broken one you want to donate....
  5. Weighs around 80g It not on my bike yet, but I'll give it a proper beating soon
  6. Here's one beefy-as-fuk (12mm thick!) booster I have been designing, ready to cut on my CNC mill There will be some MDF trial runs coming soon.
  7. My 1st practice/test run on some scrap MDF to test my CNC coding: Added spline shape for onza/tensile cranks and cut it in aluminium: Nice tight fit! Assembled to an old, used crank arm: This is my 1st design, will probably make more with improvements Comments welcome
  8. really? You've been in my shed/workshop/bike-storage havn't you? Its in there.
  9. what tool?? when i did mine, i took out the old ratchet ring by putting my hub on my lathe an shaved it away. to but the new one in, put the ring in the freezer, then heat up the hub, then just tap it in with a small hammer (keep it straight...). Make sure you put it in the right way up though or your pawls won't engage!
  10. pft! i thought you liked my tadpole idea :- i persuaded you to fill the hose with frogspawn so we could watch them grow and swim and implode under pressure when you pull the brake :-

    Balancing

So you're saying we should be able to roll backwards and forwards on the back wheel and so could adjust our balance point? Interesting
