Got myself a piece of northern ash. Putting together a parts guitar, still hunting for a 7 string neck (no binding) as I would like to keep my current 7 in one piece to sell. But it seems AANJ 7 necks are hard to come by so if I can't find a decent one I'll take the neck off my current 7 and sell the body. Have to get the string holes and bridge mount holes drilled by a local luthier, when I can get hold of him. Leaving it natural finish, but maybe tru-oil or tung oil. Not sure yet, have to do more research. Parts wise it's going to have a pair of Dimarzio Ionizer 7's neck and bridge, not sure about middle yet. Hipshot fixed bridge, then a simple tone and volume and 3 way switch. All black hardware. Hopefully whatever neck I end up with goes nicely with the body and I can get a nice setup.

The stuff people try... Does the rosin not just turn into powder when you rub it on a smooth/ground rim? So the more you put on the more powdery it gets? Don't see how it's a good idea in my head.

When it's in the external case it'll just act as a standard USB device no? So you can then set your boot options to USB as primary and it might boot?

Are you hub bolts/axle straight? You could try screwing in a different bolt in, if that one goes in fine then it'll be your original bolts. But if not then it must be something not right with the threads inside the axle.

I have an Echo SL and it hasn't had any problems yet, although I have only had it for about 1 month and about a weeks worth of riding. Only thing I don't like is they are not as easy to service, compared to the ENO I had on my last mod.

They're nicely CNC'd, I'll give them that. However they still use the same pivot bolt design as Magura HS33s which will eventually undo itself. That's the first reason I chose the Tensile Tocco levers over the Racing Line, and secondly the price. Racing Line lever or the complete brake is obscene. EDIT: HS33s up to 2005, don't know what the 2014s are like.

I like the press fit BB system and I like that splined freewheel idea. So many times I want to take my freewheel off but never could. Shame it looks like it'll only be available on Echo's own cranks though.

Most probably has slowly leaked (water?) and evaporated in the 2 weeks.

There's not one guitar shop around here where I trust them setting up my guitar. Once I saw a guy in one shop, probably in his late teens setting up a customers Gibson LP on his bliming lap. Same shop that I walked in and asked if they sold audio monitors and only got told I should go checkout Argos. Only time I go in there now is when I need strings urgently.

Rides spot on to me, its the same frame, fork and wheels Bing had. The lever blades are quite far from the bars to what most people like but that's just how I like them. Someone wouldn't even go on it because the lever blades were so far away from the bars haha.
