  1. I'm 5ft 8". My mod is a Genesis with a 175 x 35 stem with a 10mm headset spacer, and RockMan high rise Rockbars. Feels pretty spot on to me but you're taller though. Thought about 24 instead?
  2. How much do you charge to strip and repaint a body? Looks like you do a pretty decent job.
  3. Ha! That's some compressor setup! Here's my last working setup and current temp setup (old photo) thats filled with junk on top.
  4. Thanks peeps. It does ride quite nice, to me anyway
  5. I have two nice airbrushes, an Iwata HP-CS and a TR-2. Just my compressor is a bit of a let down, but for what I need it's perfectly fine. Just can't justify spending lots on a new compressor.
  6. I've only got a cheap eBay compressor, it leaks but it does the job fine. Have two airbrushes hooked up to it. Really would like an Iwata Power Jet or Smart Jet to go with my Iwata airbrushes
  7. I've got a photoetch set for the F40 too, probably won't be able to get it done until after I move places. I airbrush all my kits, can't get the finish with a can as you can with an airbrush.
  8. Sweet! I started the F40 last year but haven't been able to properly sit down get and it finished but here's some WIP photos. And I finished this 916 last year for my Dads birthday present. http://imgur.com/a/gzvip Real happy how it turned out. WIP photos of that here http://postimg.org/gallery/b4mni6wg/. I have about 15 other car/motorbike kits in my backlog that I'll eventually get round to.
  9. My ultimate want is a natural finish, no binding, all black hardware/electronics, 26.5 scale, set neck, back routed 7 string tele. But no one bloody makes one and I can't afford a custom build.
  10. Oh go on then, order a curry.
  11. I always thought bikes look a bit silly when they have bright coloured parts on a dark coloured frame. Interesting to see what it looks like finished in real life to what it looks like in my head.
  12. New casual staff guy at work didn't bother calling in to let manager know that he's "sick" for the last 2 days. The twat spouts more shit from his mouth than his arse, probably won't be giving him anymore hours which makes me happy. Plus I just went on Facebook and he posted a status saying he went to Andover, even though he told another casual staff that he had "family matters". So gonna bring it up if he ever comes in again.
  13. My mod weighs ~8.5KG. Never had a mod so light, there's still room for improvement too. Change some bits and I think I can get this to be sub 8
  14. I'll be waiting for your 'f**k Halfords' post in the future.
  15. Oh man, the goddamn sales targets too. Expected to sell a £20 bike care plan and bike accessories with every bike we sell and a can of GT85. Manager set us stupid targets that was unreachable and I've had to sit down and talk my sales performance multiple times about a bike care plan no one actually wants.
  16. I didn't like mine cos I worked way more being a full timer but paid the bloody same as part timers. Every week my hours was different, early shift or late shift and I could never plan ahead to do anything cos I don't know what my hours were the following week. No overtime pay although they gave me time off which was useless. I worked in Bikehut, although the people I worked with were nice majority of them couldn't do anything remotely technical with the bikes. One guy took 30 mins to change an inner tube, a girl was just there to sell bikes, some part timers were okay but couldn't really be bothered in general. I ended up doing most of their stuff most of the time. The actual bike mechanic guy was only in twice a week, had a massive backlog of bikes to fix/repair which most he can't repair on the spot cos it needed replacement parts which we can't order until we contact the customer. Then we wait for the parts to come in, however long that was. While the parts were on their way we took in more repairs that the mechanic doesn't actually look at until he comes in. At one point we had about 3 weeks of repairs booked in that took the following 2 months to get rid of due to waiting for customers to contact us back, waiting for parts, tracking down parts, waiting for mechanic to come in twice a week etc etc. I also hated the Apollo bikes Halfords sell. Majority were just plain scrap metal, I really didn't like selling them to customers. So many Apollo bikes I've pulled out of boxes brand new that had something wrong with them that needed replacing. There was one model, Apollo Slant I think it was, so many of them I've setup where the BB threads will strip when I tightened it and so many came back with dead BBs. That's just one example. The Carreras, Voodoos and Boardmans were much better to deal with though, actually looked forward to setting them up. Only good thing about working there was Mcdonalds was next door, I couldn't wait for lunchtimes everyday. I think I've only bought something from there 4/5 times in the 4 months I worked there. Oh man there's more I can go on about but I can't be fooked to type anymore. f**k that place.
  17. I would never go back to Halfords. Good decision
  18. Yours for only £200. I bet it will be near that price for the whole brake.
  19. Now you can actually ride sundays!
  20. I want his Echo frame. Never managed to get my hands on one of those.
