Was gonna say you'll probably be back under a different username but we'll know it's you by the way you type/spell anyway.

Still not filling my monitor.

Poor effort. At least could have used a higher resolution photo.

Shamless plug of a model I finished a while back. Haven't had much time and motivation to get back into my models for the past 10 months though

I read the thread title and watched the video thinking it was you and someone else called Oz. Nice riding though.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiitttt a second. She got depression from looking after her mum who has depression? Hellooooo? Also, is that a 2 month break? You'll be sticking around for 2 months that could possibly end up with her saying no she doesn't want to be in a relationship again? -
I've heard of fish glue before, but only in guitar building many years ago. Cyanoacrylate type super glue should be fine to hold the pads in though.

You can try selling them at a higher price but the fact is there are people selling them cheaper out there. Condition might not be as good as yours but for less money it's an acceptable trade off.

Was on the other thread about removing backings and made me remember something I thought if years ago when I first got TNN pads. How necessary is gluing the pads into the backings? Providing the pad material is a snug push fit into the backings that doesn't fall out on their own, and providing you setup the pads to be as close as possible to the rim, the pads are not going anywhere are they? And since When I first got my TNN LGM pads I pulled out the pad material to see what the backings look like on the inside, I never glued them back in. They were a snug push fit and they never popped out when riding.

Mate they're weighing you down

So sudden. Been on rides with him a few times, nice dude and beast at riding. RIP.

I don't know why people have so much trouble taking pads out of backings. I've used multiple TNN's, Heatsink CNCs, Rockmans and plain ol' plastic backings and they all came off easily with a pair of flat nose pliers. Boiling them and putting them in the oven seems a bit extreme and wasting gas/electricty...

You paid £140 for all that? Too much. I just did a quick eBay search and came up with the below for £115.18. I know they are not the same as what you got but the SD7 levers and Jagwire cable kit is a better choice in my opinion. They're not even the cheapest options out there, you can get cheaper cables/rotors etc. Plus you have 2 spare 160mm rotors and post mounts that you can sell which can bring the total down to sub £100 easily. So take the £100 and imagine other people selling this similarly priced setup, £50-£60 sounds about right if you ask me. Depending on condition of course. I remember buying my first SD7 lever / Jagwire cables / BB7 Caliper / 180m Rotor for £35 off someone here in new condition, so even 2 of that would come to £70 which is still half of what you paid new. 160mm Calipers and Rotors £52.50 Avid SD7 Levers £17.50 180mm Post Mounts £11.90 for 2 180mm Rotors £16.99 for 2 Jagwire Brake Cable kit £16.29 Personally I prefer my BB7. Had a BB5 before which I regret selling for a Hope mono mini, the BB5 was savage. My current BB7 setup is fork snappingly sweet too. Holds and bites spot on.

Where do I buy babies? I'm hungry.

What you need is alcohol. I'm way more talkative when I've had a few.

Needed a new olive for my magura. Thought oh shit I don't have any gotta order some. Check tool box, finds olives from years ago. Must have kept some spare when I past stripped a magura!

I could but I still have a shitty brake. It's pretty battered. I'd rather had proper working lever than one that might break on me at some point. Can't stand shitty condition parts.

Stooopid bike has caused me nothing but trouble. Finally got the front brake cable/housing sorted to go ride tomorrow. Have a hop in the garden. Rear HS33 piston gets stuck and doesn't feel like it wants to come back out. Tried everything I can to grab it back out but ended up pushing it all the way in instead. f**king lever was so full of shit when I go it I won't be surprised it there's grit and what not inside from its last water bleed. Ordered a new lever now anyway, hopefully these Tensile Tocco levers are alright and I get it Friday so I can ride for the first time in a few years!
