  1. You know you're fat when you go sunbathing and greenpeace try and chuck you into the sea...
  2. Basically, substances become harder and more brittle the colder they get, (yes for the chemists out there there are a few weird ones and physicits we'll just leave supercooling the hell alone). The main problem with cooling your pads to -30 would be the brittleness of the rubber, I doubt it would change the structure, and therefore chemical properties, as that normally requires an increase in energy, however there are a few exceptions I'm sure. It may make super soft pads last longer, but it would be silly expensive, last about 10 minutes and your pads may freeze to your rim or slave cylinders due to condensation.
  3. Well, I use finishlline XC in me king, but in something less sensitive, like for example a Pro II I'd make myself an emuslion. It is very simple to do, you take a normal grease of a high quality and you then mix thin oil into it until you achieve the consistency you deem best. Remember to service regularly though, all grease gets washed out eventually.
  4. You know you're fat when things start orbiting you...
  5. I suggest looking all over the internet to find out EXACTLY what your rights are then going and seeing the council. If you have a lot of trouble go see your MP if that isn't enough the local press is an amazing way of pressuring the council. Best of luck, if theres anything I can do feel free to contact me.
  6. I did it by going round marking circles on my normal rim tape through the holes (obviously when fitted) then I taped over the circles using tape. Simple.

  14. Putting talcum powder or climbing chalk between the toob and the tyre also helps, provides a form of lubrication.
  15. When I get home I'll try it.
  16. Idea that just occured to me; little rubber O-ring behind canti arm reduce vibration.

  22. Yes and no, it should in theory, but in practice I know of at least one set of cranks which are being run the wrong way for opposite drive, and have been for years, and are fine don't come loose or anything.
  23. Damn it, spent at least 5 seconds trying to remember which was which.
  24. The pedal threads on the non drive are different, you either need 2 driveside pedals, or send back the cranks.
