  1. I'm 6'3 and ride a giant team trials, tis fine, but I have a 120 mm stem.
  2. I'd take a look at the mongoose RAF, but would probably get a 4 seasons as they rule. (Y)
  3. Right, I typed a huge essay, posted it, came back to see if there had been replies and it had dissapeared. :) Basically I'll sum it up Me poor, me want to learn to weld, me want new STEEL frame, me not too bothered about geo but that would suit me best I think. :)" Also how much for a cheap custom frame Mr Iolo? :P" I'm not at all offended or discouraged, I have a few wee ideas I'd like to try. Also the CAD thing, I have no idea about tube thicknesses so I need it to tell me what I need. :P"
  4. We rode for ages, then went to the guys house, messed about on the kerb while he got coffee and food for us. Then went and carried on riding. 24 hour ride. :) :S EDIT And his house was between 2 spots so there. :-
  5. The next day you pedant. :) But we stopped off at one guys house to nab food and coffee.
  6. In the summer, I did a 24 hour ride, was from 3:30ish til 5 ish.
  7. I want a 1070 +15 mm bb and 385ish stays a 73 degree head angle steel frame. Don't exist. I am gettin some CAD software so I can get the tubeset sorted and then I'll get on with the next stage.
  8. Look for "the duo", I really like it, album names are "just play" and "just play II" Enjoy
  9. Evening lads and lasses. I want to make myself a frame because I feel nothing out there caters for me. However I don't know how to weld, and I think that building a jig may cost a lot, so is it really necessary? I seem to remember something about it not being used for prototype frames??
  10. Only thing I can think of to warn you against is that; if you get a curtis without sus corrected geo your bb could end up miles off the floor, which would suck.
  11. Nah don't worry about it, tis a risk you take when you play the devil's advocate. :P
  12. Hehe, I actually agree with you there, I'm no animal rights freak. Playing devil's advocate there for a second. And your right, people do talk big and do nowt, but that sir is waht people do. (Y) EDIT Also, see that caffeine one, it's not true. My Dads a mathematician, and without coffee he don't work. (Y)" :P
  13. You ask a Mod, to lock the topic for you, and they do it. (Y) (Y)
  14. Theres also a whole topic on how to bodge TPA's.
  15. Might be a bit long, but other than that no. Both specs are very good for the money
  16. Ok, scrap that theory then. Glad you got the cog off. (Y)
  17. Hmmm hate to piss on anyone's fire, but I think that if one didn't want to test drugs on mammals testing them on invertebrates is wrong. It's like saying "we don't want to test X on a black man, but we can do it on white people, because they react the same way" Tis discriminiation, equal rights to the spiders (Y) PS Ad's I doubt they gave the spider a bong, but they could have hotboxed it I guess, my guess would be an intravenous injection.
  18. "You up for a kick about?" Gotta start getting in shape for next season. (Y)
  19. What sort of bashring was being used? I think that if a smaller than normal bash ring was used maybe one could hit a part of the crank that was not designed to take that force?
  20. I believe that certain household cleaners such as, bog cleaner contain ammonia, use some. It sounds very much to me like you have chemical bonding between the frame and seatpost. Daver EDIT linky
  21. It's very simple, you have a serrated washer in your hub, with 72 serrations on it. You have another attached to your drive shell via a helical spline. The two rings are pushed together by a spring, but because the serrations are facing the same way to one another (\\) they slip over each other as you freewheel, however when you pedal the helical spline pushes the drive ring attached to your drive shell, so that the serrrations make lock together.
  22. Yeh, was talking bout what you said, I agree your right, but I think all schools should be like mine.
  23. I think that that's a load of crap, my school has no code for appearance at all, and we still do well in exams and have no violence. Why is this? because :) the students are not angry and therefore don't go around starting fights to release thei anger, and also because fighting will get you expelled. Schools need to be toughert on discipline and looser about dress code.
