  1. You're considering a driven shaft? With a maximum output of 53Kn? Does the drive come from either end of the shaft or is one end free? One Drive Point - Worst case would be the drum jamming on the shafts free end and the rotational force still being exerted at the driven end. Two Drive Points - (haven't seen many cranes using this system, too much to go wrong and expensive) worst case is the cable snagging in the middle and both drive points working against it. Again Google punched up most of the answers quite easily, just make sure you're analysing the correct scenario As Shaun H mentioned, overload calculations (shock loads and vibrations) and emergency situations (loss of a outrigger (subsiding/collision)) will be a massive bonus mark up!
  2. Thats awesome Weirdoku, would be excellent on the back of a door or suchlike i guess there aren't too many materials which allow the folding mechanism easily, plastics work harden too much and cost more, woods won't bend like that
  3. Don't they have different advantages ratio's to magura HS33 master cylinders? If it's a sealed syetem, with the same connections at the slave end, there's no reason you couldn't, but it might not feel like a HS33.
  4. Trike? wheels are simple, as everyone has said, have a bash yourself! If it goes tit's up you can still take it to a shop and get it built, it won't be the end of the world!! Team 13 wheelbuild has another member (although iw as building 48spoke bmx wheels :@ much prefer stock trials wheels!
  5. cheers guys for the advice. when i started running i cruised around runnersworlds forum for a bit to gather some tips. So I did go get my gait analysed at a running shop (I think I overpronate too!) and tried about 6-10 pairs of recommended shoes on. Ended up with some Nike 'zoom Triax- 9' (bowerman II series?) which I picked up for £70quid as they were in the sale (I told the guy not to show me prices when I tried them all so I wasn't bias, the worst pair for me was a set of £120 Asics However I have heard wonders about the insoles for helping to prevent injuries! Might look into it, would I have to go to a physio or just the doctors?
  6. Is there anything that can be done about this injury? i develop the initial stage early, well before i'm pushing my level these days Although I haven't been running/cycling for a long time due to massive uni commitments, i can drop weight like nobodies business but regaining it heathily/at all is really hard. I suppose it's easing you body into the training very gradually, as i'm ok with my fitness i tend to stop running when my joints hurt, not when i'm muscularly spent. But then i never ran much as a youth. I did foorball and the like, but my passion was cycling so i think my calfs are runing my lower legs muscle balance? I've also recovered from a tendon issue, phoenetically it sounds like 'oscar-schlates' or 'plateal-schlates' i know the latter is knee which is what i'm convinced the injury was. Fight with a bus, savage, i've punched the indicator off one on my motorbike but never hit one of the f**kers full on!
  7. If you have people who can barely ride, make sure the saddle is reasonable (most muppets put it way too low) and focus on basic balance, following lines on the floor then introduce the square/slalom. It might be worth doing different difficulty levels? also defiantely take your trials bike for a brief demo/show-off on the day!
  8. No prob, I'll PM my address for the payment for my services.
  9. Agree Sounds sub-conscious, and it's only when other things aren't clouding your head, like when you are specifically thinking about you and her, that it surfaces. Just enjoy the good times and let the future sort itself out! Can't do anything about it until you're there!
  10. What are your reasons for wanting to stay together? and i'm being kind, I had a blinder but I'll let it slide (Sure you don't need a shit?)
  11. Better match (maybe) Edit this is old btw, the picture above just sparked the memorey and the hunt to find it commenced!
  12. Or have a backdoor access to the hidden archive area of the site through carefullly worded link on this forum, allowing registered users to view the specs and geo etc? As JT! mentioned, it IS a waste to see all your time and effort ensuring the best information is available being lost!

Jeez! That was lucky for Hamilton! Also for Vettel (although his punishment would have been much less) I do think there should be some repremand though, it was just plain dangerous Also Alonso on the pit incident, i'm astounded that it was allowed, surely he left the race track to gain a place (if you can consider it racing track still?) Guess what we'll have to listen to for a hour before the next race then? =Pit lane rules and Hamilton/Alonso 'stretching' them!
  14. All nighter on coastal presentation/coursework due tomorrow (presenting with 2 hrs sleep, sounds good) which i thought i'd finished a week ago, great!

    Still Learning

In that case you need to get confident enough in your control that you've no need to rush

Focus on the basics and don't rush! for 7 months it's impressive but make sure you can walk(hop) and crawl (balance) before you run (the rest) Also as you're rushing some of those landings looks so much like you're about to loop out badly! Chain!

However If he had backed off, hamilton would have taken an inevitable drive through, promoting Vettel up the track and removing a main rival. But no, being hot-headed, the pair tussled and Vettel tried to make a point and squeeze Hamilthon, endangering the pit crews. and it instead it ended up being a post-race investigation. Edit: I seem to remember thinking the cars left leaving the boxes within splits of each other, Vettel hooked it up better and stayed right over, making the whole thing much more awkward
  18. Try a few different mod's as well, the availabe set-ups are limitless!

Yep, its such a close season (so far) the drivers are using every means they can to get ahead. Also I'm glad someone else agrees with me, Alonso has always somehow found a way to piss me off and I have a slightly rational (but mainly irrational) hatred of the spaniard.

probably, when all seemed lost for Alonso, 4th place? get outta here! That also reminded me, Alonso on the pit lane entrance with Massa! That was f**king rude! Also, if Massa had beached what would've happened at Ferrari I think its absurb then can apparently 'race' all the the way to the limiter line

Wasn't there a little bit of wing where the initial contact took place. You're right though, they were out sweeping up the force india(?) on the first few laps when the cars were racing and approaching within 30sec!

Hamilton drove a blinder, he also drove a f**king shocker! How he avoided getting penalised during the race, I don't know, There's no doubt in my mind that he's going to get stung with that 10 place drop for the pit lane foul up, racing in the pits is downright stupid, and Vettel should be repremanded as well! Also-get in Rosberg, he's quietly and stealthily having a really good season.
  23. That was excllent, i couldn't turn my eyes away, now my vision is just flashing light, aviators and kaliedoscope artwork
  24. Great Vid! some nice lines in there and fantastic locations! I'm sorry to do this to everyone, I've been trying to remember the name of this track for ages!
  25. Yes it is, thats as just a turn of phrase from mocking a friend. However issues arise as it IS short term energy, after chocolate or high sugar intake your blood sugar levels can drop back below the level they were at before the consumption, making you more tired and less effective, a bit like high caffine drinks. Sugar/caffine crash is my term for it Natural sugars like in fruit etc are good for a boost instead as they have a more gradual effect. Also (only mentioning this as i did it recently) a good diet makes you more relaxed in general. Better chemical balance. Now enough stupid diety advice because someone is gonna call me up on this soon!
