  1. Bikes had some tweaks. Just come back from a week of riding around the FOD area and she's running an absolute dream.

Now running 160/141mm f/r travel with the addition of the Cascade shock link. Oneup bar/stem, dropper and EDC tool. Fresh Hayes Dominion A4 brakes, along with a full stripdown, new bearings throughout and a full fork service

  2. I'm sure there'll be a fair few folk on here who either own, have owned or drive a company van.

I'm soon gonna be looking to purchase a van again for personal use instead of having a car.
I'll be sound-deadening, insulating and carpeting the back. Removing the bulkhead and will also be looking to get a pop-top and side awning installed.

Budget for the van will be about £20k.
Must be long-wheelbase and relatively refined with modern creature comforts.

Obvious choices are between a 2018 onwards Transit Custom, or a VW Transporter.
But from those of you who may own or drive other van in this sector - any other vans you think I should be considering?

  3. So many good spots in Cornwall.
Multiple granite Tors on the hilltops. Loads of decent sea defence rocks and natural coastal riding.
There are a few cool spots where old tin mines used to be too

Where abouts in Cornwall exactly are you staying? What type of riding are you most keen on?

  4. My old Alpinestars Paragons have bitten the dust.
Ordered some 100% pads in medium, large and extra-large and had to return them all as were either too large or way too small.

I'm only 5,8 but have chunky legs looking at size charts from multiple different brands is not slotting me well into any companies range of offerings.
I'm gonna be stuck with basically having to order multiple sizes in multiple different pads to try on and then return.

So before I start spaffing £100's at a time on online orders, what are people really liking riding?
I'm more of an all-day enduro type rider, normally covering around 30km's with a good 1200m of climbing/descending in some pretty rough chunky trails, so I really need all day comfort with a reasonable level of protection.

So we had a change of heart regarding the use of this little bonus. Turned her into a little home-gym instead

Got a small dumbell set/rack on order too from 5-20kgs.

  6. Pedal treads are designed to be kept tight by the normal rotation of peddling forwards. But with trials, there is so much slow speed hopping/shocking and quick back peddling so the pedals don't naturally stay tight so well.
    Same with bottom bracket cups.

Before/after every 2-3 rides nip the pedals tight again to avoid ruining the threads in your cranks

  7. Ignored my phone all day then got some lads round on Saturday evening for pizza/beers to replay the live feed.
What a race. That had everything you want from a WC downhill. Tricky conditions, new bikes/teams, riders coming back from injury so not knowing who's in form, last man down winner

    Loved it.

  8. Jumping aboard the 'British Gas Shithousery-Wagon'

They're pricks. When we first moved into our first place 4 years ago we were with them for a while and were getting charged over double what we now pay with Bulb. Useless customer service too and a nightmare over the phone. Bulb have been great

  9. We've been busy at it since moving in February too. All our upstairs rooms have now been redecorated and shown some love. Most of the work in our bedroom, involving getting a radiator moved so we could change out where the bed was, and having an electrician adding some new sockets and lighting. Also wood panelled the wall the bed now sits against.

Most importantly though we've now got our plans for the extension all drawn up and sent out to builders to quote on
