  1. Bring back the chain slap! Dinner plate bash guard? And the circle is complete
  2. Really nice riding, enjoyed that Thats some pop out of those manuals! What is that yellow frame?
  3. That was awesome. Really appreciated all of that.. Very skilled riding and nice filming/ editing. That was right on good work man
  4. Would this mean that any of those naughty people who are self employed but havn't been fully declaring their true income will end up getting stung as theyll only receive a percentage of what they've been declaring? And does anyone know if its calculated on final taxable income only? So does not include income spent as work expenditure offset against tax? Or is it total income before offset deductions? I'm not self employed anymore but just curious how it's working for others.
  5. Hope everyone is keeping safe and well, Many difficulties occuring for people aside affects from the pandemic of this virus such as stress and worry Thought I'd share a little tip of using lemongrass essential oil in your homes.. It's really wonderful stuff. It's obviously no cure as such but helps hugely with cleaning the air for better breathing and relaxing mind receiving stress. In one of those little burners with a tea light is a cheap option, fill dish with water and add a dozen drops or you can get some whizzy high tech essential oil vape style air freshener things these days also. Just for relaxation purposes around the home and since most people are stuck at home at the moment, now might be the time to experiment with some aromatherapy ? Many great oils to help, including eucalyptus, pine, frankincense etc I personally enjoying lemongrass at the moment. Would love to hear if anyone tries these who hasn't before or if people have other tips and techniques. Hows everyone coping? Keeping a routine, and not over eating being stuck at home! peace
  6. Okay cool, good to hear it! Hope he's doing well. And yourself.. I'd be up for a meet up in Bristol one weekend Cheers John.. No doubt catch up with you this year.. You still in porthcawl?
  7. Does anyone know if Ben is still around? Seems he's not so involved anymore?
  8. I really like those frames Build looks lovely Bet that's a joy to ride on the grey stuff!
  9. This is interesting. The question crossed my mind; would there somehow need to be the ability to have a quantifiable world record in order that something become an Olympic sport? If so does that then force the 'sport' to become limited to a replicable course? Otherwise I just don't understand how it can span generations as an Olympic sport. Having such things as world records etc. Then again, how can boxing have world records? I don't even know what makes any sport Olympic. I'm surprised the egg n spoon race isn't.. I mean they teach it in school!! Can anyone enlighten me on how sports are chosen to become Olympic
  10. Haha, no absolutely right.. That was utter nonsense. I'll crawl back into my hole now lol! Anyway.. porthcawl ride listed in rides section. Come along and let's discuss further the philosophy and olympic future of trials! Maybe even if anyone knows Ashton personally let's get him out and he can tell us what its all about Though i imagine he no longer lives there. I remember seeing him on the sea front.. Legend. I've resumed normality. Think there was something in those lentils..
  11. Lol, yay hot topic How much per click! Lol, I'll delete all that so as not to embarrass myself further :
  12. Lol okay thanks You're right, of course it's a sport.. What am i on about? I just never really saw it like that! Of course there can be contests to test riders skills. I suppose competition and contest are different things? I used to love going to competitions, but i was never much good. But it sure was a test. Or a trial! But can trials be an Olympic sport? I don't know.. I only just realised it was a sport! Lol
  13. It's like climbing. And interestingly climbing has recently gone through similar questions to become part of the Olympics. And similarly I'd imagine that if trials is to do the same it may be worth looking at that as an example. I d say speed trials is a form that the sports form of trials could it. You could isolate aspects like high/ long jump elements I suppose but would be boring possibly? Sorry for the long post, that was completely just nonsense But for me making it 'olympic' misses the point.
  14. some great riding there! The megamo days; always liked those bikes but never even rode one. Looks like you rode it well
  15. But clearly not half as good as thousands of riders.. and my instinct tells me you probably won't be.. Though you have got some of the basics down very well, ill give you that Though you clearly felt provoked; I feel you ought to apologise to yourself about that comment none the less. I think the comment was aimed at the fact you've been posting videos of you topless on holiday and someone riding a fold up bike around at night.. This is the 'shite' referred to which I would agree is best kept contained but actually I would say is best left on your Instagram for people to follow or not if they like your content. Thing with tf is its a public forum and like with any forum some people may get a bit annoyed if one member constantly treats it like their own personal profile. It's a fine line and no one can say your doing something wrong but try to understand the delicate balance. Im sure nobody wants to take anything away from you but may feel your choice and style of interaction with the community here is a little hard to fathom. I noticed you riding around my home town of Long Eaton quite a lot.. Are you local? Im rarely there these days and have been riding much the past few years. But I'm sure I'll see you around at some point if you live near by. Though I hope not in the summer, because there's little I find more awkward than talking to a man with his top off, call me a traditionalist but heh, that's me You're right to be offended by rude comments but also my advice would be to try pick up on the 'subtle' attempts of people giving you some constructive criticism and try to take it on board. I quickly get a strong impression people here don't want to see your nonsense videos but would really enjoy seeing your proper skillfull riding videos! And would enjoy seeing one that's been crafted with care and thought. You dont seem to be much of an artist but theres generally a saying that less is more.. Again, it's a fine line but i get the impression quite a few your viewers are not particularly enjoying your work.. But thats not to say its all bad! My feedback would also be.. Quality not quantity. Flickering images of you posing or whatever can sometimes be a great addition to piece of film, but it's a fine line between it being insightful or cringe worthy. Your clearly trying hard to promote yourself so id genuienly advice you to see the essence of the feedback comments. All being said However I must say well done for trying and I hope you can keep improving all your skills; riding, filming, editing and understanding. Also well done for kicking that gap at long eaton town hall.. Only ever saw neil tunnicliffe do that one.. I certainly never have! Though you never know this time around.. Ive got a bike with a positive b.b rise for 2020 lol Keep it up and try to find the constructive criticisms from your feedback
