  1. hiya,have a look at these....
  2. Hiya, this is a poll in response to the thread about riding in forestry commisions.... I think it would be ineresting to see how much interest there would be and if there is enough I can show it to the local council and then maybe they might be interested in doing something about it. Brechfa Forest is 15 miles from Carmarthen in West Wales (not far from West Wales Bike Trials as it happens..) and already has four excellent mtb trails catering for the downhill/freeriders right down to family friendly routes and I think a bike trials area might be a good thing as well.It would add a little variety to the riding in wales which is mainly coastal or mountains which both offer great riding but are all on rocks or concrete (ouch). Also Brechfa is a busy place at the weekend and would be a good opportunity for people to see bike trials in a more natural environment (most of the public probably gets to see bike trials in the street where we're considered as getting in the way and/or being antisocial) .Please do the poll no matter where you live because if things like this happen then maybe it can be done in your area.We all know of places that would amazing to ride if someone decided to do something about it and got permission. Cheers Nick (wwbt)
  3. This afternoon I phoned the local council and asked them if a bikrtrials area would be feasable in Brechfa Forest (in Carmarthenshire,West Wales) and they said "we'll get back to you...". I think a petition would help this roll on a little quicker.People already travel from all over the country to ride Brechfa's Downhill and cross country runs and they always come back. There also two family friendly routes at Brechfa so it would also be a great way for the public to see biketrials in a more natural and positive way as opposed to us noisy, squeeky twats getting in the way on the street.I'm not sure how to set up a poll/petition on the forum but i'm sure if enough of you respond to this thread positively it would be a good indication of whether it's worth the council making the effort. If somebody know how to set up a poll would you let me know.... Nick (wwbt)
  4. Thanks very much dude,I changed the skin and the signout box has magically appeared.I'd better try it before I get to excited... Thanks very much to all of you that replied to this thread,it was really bugging me.It's sorted now.
  5. the only menu that i can find that drops down refers to my profile and there's no option to sign out there..... hiya, what else would deleting my cookies do ? I'm not really computer literate and i'm not even sure what cookies are.
  6. I know this isn't a trials question but can someone please tell me why I can't sign out of the forum ?
  7. I just watched this and i cried.I didn't really know him having only met him on a couple of occasions but I know a lot of people that did and he will be missed.
  8. This is tragic news.Deepest sympathies to Gavins family and friends.
  9. That was a great weekend, many thanks to Matt and to Adam @ tarty bikes for sorting out the event. It was great to see a big group of riders get together for a social rather than a competetive event and the atmosphere was most chilled. Also huge thanks to the guys sorting out the barby and the bacon rolls, they are heroes !
  10. Yeeee Haaaaa..,I'm coming toooooo
  11. Hi dude,i've got a pair of 661 knee and shin guards, which are crap for trials because they are just to bulky and i tried the veggie guards but they were just to hot and sweaty but then i tried my football shin pads (£5 from jjb) and they were just right. They even have little cups that protect the knobbly bits on your ankles. They could do with a little more coverage but they've saved my shins many, many times. I've seen a lot of nasty shindigs at WWBT ,including 2 really horrible ones on the same shin in the space of 45 mins which make me cringe still when i think about it (Cai now has a groovy set of trident ones !) Just get some. You'll be glad you had 'em on next time it happens, which it will.I've got a couple of pics that are worth seeing if i can dig them out. Maybe we should have a gallery of shindigs..... 1st effort...... 2nd... lovely.

Wear what you like,no one really cares. This year i'm going for the borat mankini/shinpad combo, maybe a feather or two,who knows.
