You call what he said was an opinion?? I think its pure shittiness...

Why get a zoo? Its a different bike. Different bb rise and a completely different look. Also why with the comment of stop mincing about, I know when I get a new frame I don't like denting it. Also what makes you think he doesn't or wont ride it? For all you know he could ride a shit load more than you! There really is no need to be a cocky wanker in posts like this. Doesn't help this forum. People don't like to post now because of comments like what you have said above. I know your now going to reply, giving it all this "what gives you the right to call me a cocky wanker" go ahead. I won't be replying again.

That black stuff isn't tar, its your rim. Your smooth rim still wears away. When dry you won't really notice any of that but as soon as a bit of moisture appears it will go black and shitty. Its like if your sanding alu lightly with dry sandpaper it just go's away and you get dust but if you use wet and dry when wet you get a black crappy alu/water mixture.

It would be interesting to know some things about the greens. How long do they last on a good grind and on what rim? Edit: Poor Grammar
-
You tried looking where the different peices of road is joined for tar? Have a look there..

I think thats pretty (Y) (Y) What happened to the XTP then?

ZOO bars feel very nice indeed. Not really flexy and no, I honestly believe the Montys are not worth the extra. If you don't mind paying around the £50 mark then check out Onza Carbon risers. Think they're available from TartyBikes and I'm pretty sure they would be available from SuperCycles
-
Zoo risers are not actually that wide. I found them slightly narrower that brisa's and a good bit narrower that my try alls (in feel anyway). I say they should feel pretty good on your bike. All it will do is give you more control I would imagine. I run Brisa bars on a t-pro and find the width of them pretty good (t-pro wb of 1000mm) so i'm guessing it will be similar geo to a monty..

Gingers always seem to get ganged up upon... *que someone calling Trialskid names*

Maybe your pads are truely contaminated. They may seem like lumps of plastic but it can happen. I've heard of people steeping them in de greaser and the likes. Think i've even heard of vinegar being used... I noticed my pads went black (montys) on smooth rim. Wasnt just on the surface but about half a mm into the material..

Soapy water is ok and white spirit leaves a crappy residue on the rim. If you really want the rim cleaned. Use Cif. A mate uses this on his smooth rim and the bite he gets from it is amazing when its cleaned. Usually lasts a full ride before it needs cleaned (as it would with any cleaning substance) He uses ZOO pads and I swear I have NEVER felt a brake bite like that. Even from people who load thier rims with tar. SO try it out. Go steal some cream cleaner (Y)

I run 170mm echo cranks on my mod. This is my first mod and only set of cranks I have used but I find it perfectly fits on the bike. I can up higher on my mod instantly (been riding stock since I started about 1.5 years ago) Power moves are also great. I think you will notice a difference but will get used to it...

Looks alright, very purposeful bike i'd imagine. Bit of an urban/dirt mixture or something. If its for trials and trials only though I think i new frmae would be the best (Y)

Liked that vid, was pretty chilled but at the same time contained some mental riding...

I done this to my hub last year. It lasted a good 3 months after that and for all I know could have gone then if left standard. You learn by your mistakes. I own a hope sport that has been kicking around for 5 years with NO returns to hope as yet and NO damage at all to the ratchet ring. This has been on a downhill bike, endofreaks trials bike since he basically started trials then passed to me recently. Its in mint condition and it had the springs stretched as far as i'm aware, by (luke_londontrials) many years ago. On subject of hope sport, do they have tougher internals than mono/xc's? I ask as i mean this one has NO damage at all. Its silly. Plus it has skipped a bit before when needing serviced so i'm surprised at the cleanness of ratchet ring.

Amazing that, don't usually comment on vids but this deserved a  . That big double drop was defination of scary looking!

I done my lessons in a saxo. Failed to see they were a good car to be honest. 1 out of 5 lessons I had were cancelled due to car trouble. (was brand spanking as his clio got wrote off on a test). VTR/VTS are meant as a sports car (hot hatch) they're far from cheap to run being a 1.6 8v and 16v and with insurance groups of around 7 and 14. Over here in Northern Ireland your hard pushed to see a punto. Saxos are the plague though. Millions of them!! Do saxo owners find the pedals very close together?

The flattened bits on top of the ratchet ring will be from the axle flexing and the freehub hitting them (will be scores on the freehub where it enters the hub body. This has to be sent to hope to fix, best to call them and ask them what you need to include. You will have to send the full wheel to hope. 01282 851200

Should go invest in a countersink, make all them holes look a bit more firendly (Y) It does look rushed and with the bash its not as if you even drilled the thicker, stronger part
-
Deeper? I know on my levelboss if I was to drill deeper I would be into frame tubing... Make sure you havn't or aren't going to cause any proper damage.
-
What about them shimano deore hubs that the spokes slotted into the hub body? Bad design?
-
I said it was from my experiance. Not meaning its gospal. Just with any set up of mine: Base Frame, Salsa Booster & Magura Booster, heatsinks and a ground 521 and a minion st 2.5 tyre. When it swooshed it was pants. When it squeeked it was brilliant. Levelboss with same tyre, pads and with a try all booster is the same. Sqeek and it works none and it doesnt. My mod is the same too, T-pro frame, rb booster (not actually gonna qualify as a sound damper is it  ) koxx bloxx on an echo cnc rim ground. Some luna cheapy tyre. When the wheel moves ever no slightly out (hardly noticable) the brake swooshes causing it to be relativly wank. Its just from personal experiance, Most people I ride with find that too.
-
I quite like that, well done
-
Thats not what experiance tells me. A squeaking brake is actually a working one. When it swooshes it slips. If you take your swooshey pads off theyre probably worn gay, 2p technique and all, when you tighten everything down the sometimes move..
-
I cant fault kools on trials bikes but on my bmx the plates kept pulling off the pins... was rather gay. It was happening in places not damaged by grinding too. Only thing i can put it down to is the continous motion a bmx chain go's through making more play where as trials sort of stretches it out straight and keeps it inline..
