  1. lol i'm a tit, you know what I mean
  2. (Y) 306's have a habbit of taking water on board as the air filter is rather low in the engine bay. As with any car check service history if one exists and try to take a competant mechanic with out. ALWAYS take it for a test drive and keep your ears open for things such as brakes, engine, gearbox and noises that could come from wheel bearings, drive shafts etc.
  3. You tried a fresh grind? Im not sure but I think i remember a while ago you buying viz or koxx rims? In this case they tend to hold grinds for around 2 decent rides AT THE MOST... Little things like cleaning the rim or sanding the pads might work as they might be covered in crap, this can happen when you do have a dead grind and as no material is being scrubbed off they get manky...
  4. Hey, I run freewheels on both mod and stock now so was wondering if anything came of these tensile freewheels? There was a lot of hype about them a good few months ago and a suspected release date but did anything ever get released? I know they were to have around 60 ep's but were they sealed bearing like eno or a load of balls like the ACS  Anyone know anything about these?

    Brake Pads

You have the 47mm rim alex.. best thing you could do is get som heatsink c's (if thier still made) Just run these and should lock pretty well. I would just regrind when needed and get some of the 05 white heatsinks, you will have a far beter brake. Also make sure the pads are 100% square to the rim!
  6. Agreed, 19psi is VERY high for a 306. New turbo could be on the cards if he keeps it at that much longer/rags it frequent.
  7. aaron taps SILLY height without taps :P" :turned:
  8. Its fairly new isnt it? If it is flared a warranty shouldn't be too hard to get...
  9. Indeed, they make bombs out of the stuff too (Y)
  10. An idea would maybe be to thread it out as far as you can and grab it with mole grips and if your dmr's are newerish they will have a 5 or 6mm alen doofer in the end of the axle? use it maybe?
  11. Brisa though (Y) Loving it Aaron, can't wait to get a go... Looks perfect, reckon the stock will lay dead for a while? How are you finding the gearing?
  12. Could trytaking it out insert and all, clamp it in a vice with some wood and then take the pedal off... Find some way of keeping the insert in for the future, maybe locktite but may not be strong enough, plain old super glue/araldite?
  13. Im not sure if these are like my mates truvatives or not but his had two little holes so that a wee pin spanner could go in at the back and stop it rotating...
  14. Amazing (Y) (Y) Out of interest do chavs in Sweden wear burberry or is there any chavs in sweden?
  15. Thats the first time ive seen this pashley you were so egar to build, very very nice (Y) (Y)
  16. I have always rode Stock until, very recently... I have a Koxx levelboss with a decent spec so I would class it as a 'good bike'. I have just built up an Onza t-pro, I have been out on the mod since a built it and when i try to ride stock it just feels slugish (even though thats what i've been used to). I find (as Ali C says) mod very easy in comparasson to stock. Statics to back wheel, statics to front wheel and backwheeling higher without the need of front touch... I also found it to be a lot more controlable on rocks but as Onzaboymark said stock to do roll over rocks better (found out the hard way, wheel into small gap lol) I think if you want to improve slightly quicker, go for the mod. They are super fun to ride, can go as big as a stock if you need and generally A LOT less hassle to flick around.
  17. Greens the way to go :P .. Golds been done to death :(
  18. Thats the stuff, cheers :ermm:
  19. Was thinking about that, just theres a lot of excess thread, how much would expect a kool to stretch. Never really noticed stretch being used to stock?
  20. Its a brand new echo wheel. I will probably just saw off the excess as you say and stick with this tensioner... Thanks
  21. Yo, I got a ped when i was 16 as a run around. Got it for £450 second hand out of the autotrader. In the 11 months I had it I had one new tyre, a set of brake pads, adjusted the rear brake once and fitted an aftermarket exhaust as my own developed a hole then split. It was an Aprilia Rally, not the nicest looking scooter around but in my opinion very reliable and one of the faster scooters as a few of my mates had Aerox's, Speedfights and it passed them if needed... Brakes are very good and the tyres that come on them look like they would be more suited to off road but are excellent in the wet. Speed when i got it (was de restricted) was 50mph and once i got the new exhaust it dont 56mph but accelerated awfully slow. No such problem spots on this scooter other than if a front light bulb would go it takes quite a bit of hassle to get at. Forks are little upside down units which are quite plush and reliable and rear shock is the same, all in all one of the most comfertable and direct feeling scooters ive felt.
  22. No heavier than a koxx rim i'd say... A lot stronger too. Edit: No dx32's dont come pre drilled but they are a very good strong rim...
  23. I just recently got myself a t-pro, this is my first mod. I got a full build echo wheel and has snail cams already on the axle... The things is they seem awful small, i have my wheel around half way in the dropouts so that i can set my brake up properly nd have decent chain tension. With this set-up the cams are quite far away from were they should touch. Are all snail cams this size or are after market ones larger? I am currently using a single chaintug on my drive side, it looks gay and hits stuff so was wondering if i can get cams to fit?
  24. Not sure if I'd really like a rim minus a few spokes.. Bit of a bodge on a bike so perfect...
