  1. Go on Jake! Should have got your arse in gear and come riding with me and Cocky et al tonight (I kid) I'm soooo pleased you're back riding man. Summer 2010 is gonna be epic! Saturday after my birthday gonna get a load of us (somehow) crashing at mine and then ride all Sunday. Be there, pleeeease!
  2. Okay. 1) I'm not sure what you guys are getting at, but what I'm saying is that I can keep weight off my arms, legs, face etc, but I just seem to have a bit of an immovable beer-belly lol. 2) FOP is awful. I spent three years in school with a girl who had it. She couldn't use stairs, cars, chairs. It was completely crippling and only got worse over the time I knew her.
  3. LOLSEADS!!! I dunno about weight loss. My legs are pretty much solid muscle, and my arms are (whilst not huge) are certainly more muscly than fatty. However, it doesn't seem to shift any weight from my core
  4. Ride tonight! Put the effort in haha
  5. Depends what you were doing?! I worked at a print/design place. T'was great fun, ended up working there for two years afterwards.
  6. That isn't my portfolio site and I don't do freelance, so it's not an issue.
  7. I definitely agree to an extent. This style is different for me personally, but there's a massive amount of repetition on the web. I'm not a maximalist kind of person, design isn't my strong point so I tend not to attempt to over-design things. With minimalism, the risk of similarities gets naturally increased anyway I'd imagine. I'm quite happy with how it turned out, it's not something I (wanted to) spent a lot of time on either. Plus it's a personal site, I am the client, the client is happy. I'm definitely open to suggestion and whatnot though. Cheers, H
  8. Straight to the point I guess… Having never used Frontpage I can't really comment.
  9. It was honestly amazing. I loved it, the missus loved it. I do agree on needing a slightly larger range of stuff to ride. I'm not a great rider but there was enough for me to ride, but a lot of things were out of my scope really. Nevertheless, best weekend I've had in such a long time. I've said it before and I'll say it again, thanks so much to you and everyone involved.
  10. Some awesome riding there. Big but making it look easy Oh and I want your bike
  11. Ah I'm with you. That makes sense. Thanks (Great shots too btw)
  12. My bad. I know nothing about photography but was under the impression that a higher shutter speed would help in reducing blur (particularly in action shots). Or is my terminology wrong?
  13. Yeah there was something (I have no idea what) wrong with her camera which caused a shed-load of images to be out of focus regardless of shutter speeds (she spent ages experimenting with various settings and whatnot). Agreed on the flash though. She needs to start broadening her kit I think
  14. You did seem a little distracted fella, but it was totally understandable considering. Jake was taking the pics fella. He's been chatting with Meki and he's getting his bike fixed up so he'll be on the rides soonish. Also, ride Wednesday dude—Lazenby is gonna be out.
  15. Came out well those dude. Although go easy on the hugeness Shame you didn't get my mahoosive pedal up later on haha. Get that bike fixed and get riding!
  16. Due to someone in that thread saying my two personal sites looked a little similar, I threw a new design together over a few hours: http://harryroberts.co.uk/ Blog post explaining the redevelopment here: http://harryroberts.co.uk/2010/06/a-redesign-so-soon/ Thoughts?
  17. The side of me you've seen here is my response to sheer, unashamed ignorance from people arguing points they have zero knowledge of. People who are willing to listen and want constructive feedback and whatnot are definitely the kind of people I help. I am known by my peers for being helpful; people I work(ed) with, I'm sure (I hope) Muel would agree in terms of what me and my colleagues could offer him and his mates. I have written industry recognised articles for free purely to help people. I won an informal award for being the 'Most Helpful Member*' on a large design forum. I help people recode entire websites for free when they politely ask for and appreciate help. I regularly help people out via Twitter etc when they run into issues. Ask Tristan (onzatrip) and Rowan on here just how helpful I was to them when they wanted advice. What do all these people have in common? A bit of respect and a polite desire to be helped. None of them were as blatantly ignorant and rude as certain participants in this topic. Politeness shall be met with politeness, and quite frankly, the majority of people in this thread have exhibited nothing but ignorance and blatant lack-of-caring. However, if anyone has, through this thread, managed to get a less-then-favourable view of me then that's sincerely regrettable. I'd like to prove you otherwise but that all depends on whether the damage is irreparable. I would genuinely consider myself a nice guy, and hope that anyone who knows me personally would also agree. I just react badly to stubborn ignorance. *This award has no tangible worth, but it does illustrate the fact that, despite your skewed opinions, I am not a total twat. All the best, H
  18. Sweet, cheers guys. Can't wait to get planning.

    Gatorade Advert

That was quality, really really good. How'd they get in touch with/find out about you then?

    Chat Up Lines

Apparently, according to my boss, the best one is just to ask a group of birds 'Can I get your opinion on…' and then start an interesting conversation with them. Supposedly, girls like to voice their opinions. Who knew…?
  21. It's ignorance like that that makes me wonder why you're even trying to argue this in the first place. I met Sam because he wanted to come talk to me about accessibility—I know my stuff… But yeah, everything Sam says is right. Also, try Googling 'Target website lawsuit'.
  22. Awe man that's exactly what I'm talking about, thanks you two
  23. Cos I'm such a romantic I thought I'd opt for a camping road-trip holiday this year, as opposed to taking the missus to quiet sunny beaches. Just wondering if any of you guys can recommend some good campsites and/or nice places down the west coast (we're thinking Wales down to Cornwall). Cheers, Harry
