alright guys, basicly the title says it all, the little red wheel (tpa) has threaded inside, therefore the needle pushes in through it and the lever blade touches the bars, is there a quick fix/temporary one i can do so that i can ride this weekend?? its an 05 lever by the way thats why i cant follow the mothod on the wiki. and i have already tryed moving the slaves in as far as they go nnearest the rim and it still isnt right. thanks in advence, ash.

hi all, i have managed to round one of the bolts that holds the maggie on the frame (long M5x45mm one with the smoothed out bit) i can only find the titanium ones on tarty and would prefer not to pay about £5 per bolt as i would like to replace all 4 at once (may aswell buy a new booster for that money) anyone know of somewere i can get them from (not fussed on weight)? might give tarty a bell tomorrow to see what they suggest... any help would be much appreciated! thanks, ash.

just got my first trials bike today and its got a louise on it, its a fantastic brake, locks and holds!!

if you run a 11 on the back thats going to be the closest your going to get to the standard 32:16 going by the sum: number of teeth on the front sprocket / number of teeth on the rear sprocket x wheel size so 22/11x26=52 you want something in the region of 55 for the best average gearing (32/16x26=55) you can use the same sum for all bikes and gearing just alternate the wheel size. i run 38 on the front and 16 on the back thats a 61 fairly hard but just right for me on a 26'' wheel hope that helps a bit ash.

i would give you £150 for it posted??? pm me

hi all i am thinking about selling my dirt jump bike, its a 2007 mongoose fireball but it has plenty of upgrades that make it a very smooth and unique ride! the spec is as follows: 2007 fireball frame 2009 marzocchi dirt jumper 2 forks-£220 FSA pig headset fitted recently-£18 standard bar, stem, seat and seatpost (bars and seatpost sprayed white) FSA alphadrive cranks DMR single speed conversion (running 26:16)-£18 DMR V8 pedals-£25 DMR moto tyres-£34 pair DDZ double wall rims on black unknown hubs shimano mechanical disks (people say these are crap but mine are excellent!)-£90 avid levers-£20 spank lock on grips-£15 KMC chain-£10 thats about £450 spent on upgrades and the bike was about that new how much do you guys think this would be worth?? (i didnt post this in any of the other parts of te forum as this is not really to do with trials) thanks, ash
-
Hi, i have the shimano mechanicals on my jump bike at the moment and they are good enough, i used to have a front BB7 on a previous bike and that was the best brake i have ever used, it was sharp and it would lock and hold like no other! like you have said you have had sevral problems with hydros but the bb5 is good, go with the BB7 you wont regret it

michel jackson didn't die of a heart attack, it was an allergic reaction to 10 year old nuts!
-
The world is deeply saddened at the loss of the king of pop, during his life he touched so many people including tommy 9, james 6 and daniel 5! Edit: Michel Jackson died last night in LA. Doctors said that he didn't go stiff until they wheeled him past the childrens ward.
-
Reports of michel jackson having a heart attack are INCORRECT!, He has been found in the childrans ward having a STROKE!

-
Thanks for the replys, ill keep my eyes open, as for cable disks and v'ss i just dont seen to get on verry well with them and i fancy a bit of a change lol. this is probably a silly question with a simple answer but i just cant work out the geometry of bikes....what is good and bad, what does it mean and how does it effect the way you ride??? Sorry about all these questions, ill try and stick to this thread because i would just clog up the forum otherwise lol thanks, Ash

Hi guys, this is my first post so go easy please I am going to be buying a trials bike soon to start the sport on, i have a basic idea of what i want- a mod because i feel that my 26'' jump bike is hard to throw arround and fancy something a bit smaller and agile. I would also like hydraulic rim brakes or some good disks as i dont seem to get on with cable disks and v's to well (apart from bb7's on my old bike) but other than that i am not very clued up, i dont understand why freewheels are used on the front aswell as or instead of the back and stuff like that, i haven't got the money yet but should have after few weeks work and i am looking to spend no more than £250 as i have to save for a car aswell Before its said i am not looking to buy now, otherwise i would be posting this in the wanted thread, i would just like an idea of what is what, what i should be looking for and expecting to get with that budjet! Thanks in advance and sorry about poor spelling, Ash

Hi, i'm Ash I have been riding bikes for years now, and have been into dirt jumping and a bit of street for the last year or so. I don't have a trials bike as of yet but i am looking to get one in the near future (saving at the moment). This sport has apealed to me for a long time now and i am geting bored of riding a long way to jumps where there are only a few to do so i feel that it is time for a change. I have attempted trials on my jump bike that's a hefty beast that weighs about 30lb and can do bits and bobs but i find it way to heavy to throw arround in the way i'd like to be able to. I live in Stroud (Gloucestershire) and would love to ride the area with a diferent perspective and style. I hope that i can learn and get some good advise from this forum as well as meeting new people as what i have seen so far from an hour or so of surfing is fantastic! Ash.
