  3. Essex Bike Trial Club Fun Day and Barbecue at Radical Bikes Sunday 26th May Everyone welcome - old and new! We will have some pegs and tape in the woods on the banks and we will mark out a few lines for all abilities and ages. Starting from 10am - barby from 1ish. Come and have a ride and a laugh and catch up with some old friends. Riding will be free for this event! It would be good to get an idea of numbers going to help us with the catering. Bikes can be supplied for new people that might like to give trials a try. Hope to see lots of people.
  4. The reason it's free to EBTC members (past or present) is because it's a retirement celebration so it's aimed at people that know Dave Bradley and want to thank him for all his work. Ofcourse anyone can attend (as you can every weekend at Radical Bikes) - but there would be the usual session fee to ride.
  5. As some of you may know, Dave is retiring. He has been the Essex Bike Trial Club Secretary for 25 years. So, as a farewell to Dave, the EBTC is having a Fun Day on 21st October 2012 at Radical Bikes. It will be a FREE day to all who have been part of EBTC - riders and non riders, young and old, whether it’s been at a comp, fun-day, or training session. We will have lots to ride and do. There will be old school Essex Trials in the wood, modern style sections in the field and up-to-date Radfest type stuff too. This is All for Fun and for Free - this is not a comp! It’s a Day for Dave. There will be prizes and giveaways for all type of things - most fun, best line, oldest rider, oldest Trials bike (20”-26”) and lots more. There will be a BBQ, Music and Picture display. The day will be a Celebration of Dave’s contribution to Bike Trials. Format for the day: Sign in at Radical Bikes and get free food ticket. Ride, chat, have fun, catch up with Old and New friends alike. Big thanks to Dave and Pam for supporting Bike Trials! If you have any old EBTC or Trials pictures that may be of interest or amusing to go on the display, please send to mick@radicalbikes.co.uk For catering purposes, it would help to know numbers who are likely to attend, so if you could just e-mail back or Tel 07771 637760, that would be helpful. Thanks very much! Mick Mitchell www.radicalbikes.co.uk

  20. What a place. The UK is so far behind the rest. But I`m working on it!
  21. Yes Matt - this is the second time and we have considered the possibility that the thieves have visited us. Therefore, we have checked rider lists to see if there is a pattern and recorded suspicious vehicles too. All this information has been passed on to the police. However, we think that the theft of our bikes and many other local thefts may have some connection with the fact that 18 months ago a group of caravans moved on to land under 1 mile away from us. They had no permission to be there and the local authority seem powerless to remove them. In the meantime, we are seeking advice about our security and what measures can be taken before we replace anything again. Hopefully people will continue to keep a look out for our property. We are not up for replacing it a third time and we think it would be sad for the Trials community to lose Barrow farm, but that is a possibility if we have further problems like this.
  22. Please see News section for accurate information regarding the theft of 10 bikes from Barrow Farm (Radical Bikes).
