With cube bikes you do get a lot for your money in terms of component parts, but the supposed German build quality is not to be believed I’ve seen three crack in a month. for that soprt of price range id look at these Specialized Rockhopper SL, GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc Trek 6000 Disc E

Cheers for the comments guys. I agree Matlock is a great place to ride and it’ll be a shame if it does get turned into another shite retail park. I'll probably be up there this Saturday coming if anyone fancies a ride.

I went upto Matlock again saturday and had a play on the rocks. I know I'm not great but im getting better be kind : ] Epic fail at kicking onto the tiniest rock. A random pic from riding some pallets in the garden.

This looks really nice can’t believe you got a great finish like that, nearly every re-sprayed bike I’ve seen on here has ended up looking shite but this actually looks like a really good finish. I would’ve of thought you had to use a proper compressor and sprayer to get it looking like that. Well done.

Check out some of these helmets if your after something that has good cover for the back of your head. The fox flux and the giro hex are the obvious ones that everyone thinks of but also check out the Specialized Tactic Helmet Giro Rift Helmet 661 Reacon Helmet I hope that helped a bit.
