I have the 661 Dirt Lid for riding trials, I guess you probably have that one or the Mullet. I think the advantages of the BMX (piss pot) style helmets is that they cover your head a lot better including the back of your head where most XC helmets don’t. Also I’ve covered mine in stickers and I can’t do that with My XC helmet because it’s got vents all over it. On the other hand XC style helmets will stop you from melting when riding but with winter setting in that’s not going to be so much of a problem. There also more expensive especially if you want a decent one. I think they look better though.

The guy is clearly awsome on a bike and breakless oh my god! But I didnt really enjoy watching it. It just wasnt my thing really.

Travelling is not a problem as I do drive hence why I said the Northampton area. I don’t mind travelling to any of the surrounding towns like Milton Keynes, Leicester, Kettering... etc. But I would still like to know if theres some where to ride natural stuff not too far from here?

Any one know some good places to ride near Northampton? I'm getting seriously fed up with riding the same old pallets, tyres and crap in my yard. Also I'd like to know if theres any good natural stuff in the Northampton area? please move this if its in the wrong place I wasnt sure where to post it. cheers :]

I may be there. Depends what days I'm working next week. I’m not that great as I’ve only been riding for a couple of months but I'd appreciate having someone else to ride with. Would be me first time riding some decent natural stuff as there’s f**k all in Northamptonshire. Possibly pick up a few tips too.

I actually love the Rockman Aurem they look so nice and I’m seriously considering it as my new bike when I have the funds. can some one tell me why the ones on tarty don’t come in this colour? I think the frames do but the complete bikes don’t? Sorry top hijack your thread a little bit.

Yes, some of us me included need bash plates as we are not world class UCI riders. Anyway this thread has gotten way off topic, I'll shut up now. :]

I have an Onza Blade and yes it’s alright but not the best. I like the frame and the feel of the bike but I’ve progressed a bit quicker than I thought I would. I really should have spent more on a bike but at the time I wasn’t sure if I’d stick at trials or it would just be one of those 1 minute wonders. I like the bike but I have had quite few problems with it. The bearings in the front hub went in the first week so the shop I got it from gave me a new wheel. Also the frame flexed a lot until I put a brake booster on it. The BB seems a bit week and the pedals that come with it are sh1te make sure you swap them for something tougher and grippier. However most of these things are due to the sheer amount of riding I’ve done on it.

Trial magazine, that sounds a bit better than the usual 2 pages of trials in MBUK. Where do yee buy/subcribe that form?

I did three years of music technology and through out the whole thing there was a constant debate as to whether Macs or PC's are better. Truth is they both have there pro’s and cons. Personally I always think yes Macs are awesome, but there so much more expensive. I wouldn’t buy a new Mac just because you can get a PC of better spec for half the price. But your on about second hand so I say yes go for it.
